Going Private
I can't wait any longer so I've decided to go private and I've booked to see a consultant next week. I can't get my head around the fact I can see the same consultant I have to wait a year for on the NHS next week if I pay £200. I'm 50, currently on continuous provera and estrogen and I'm bleeding heavily

Update
Hi everyone, I posted a couple of days to complain about my horrible experience at A&E and also mentioned that I had an appointment on Monday, I had my consultation yesterday and I’m finally moving forwards in my treatment. I informed the consultant that I’ve been bleeding for a whole month on the Provera

A&E trip
I had to make a trip to A&E today because I’ve been bleeding consistently for 27 days with severe abdominal and back pains. I waited for four hours and came out with painkillers that I had to cry to be prescribed. I posted here last week asking for advice on what to do because I believe the Provera has

Any advice regarding hemorrhaging
I am in such a mess. I went for a hysterectomy on 5th September due to large fibroids and flooding. When they got in they found endometriosis scar lesions have attached my cervix to my bowel and left ovary. They didn't touch it and I was offered Zoladex instead which I declined as the side effects put

Depo-Medrol Injection and nausea
Hi everyone, Just wondered if anyone has had a chronic reaction to a steroid shot? I am only tiny and was given 120mg a month ago and I am literally grounded still with the worst nausea. I can barely eat and have lost 3/4 stone so am down to 7 stone ☹️ Is it possible I had too higher dose and my immune

No period after provera
Hi all I hope you're all as well as you can be on this emotional rollercoaster of a journey. I was prescribed 5 days worth of provera by my fertility clinic, to induce a period so I could start my FET cycle. It's about the sixth time I've been given provera and usually it works. This time, however,

PCOS journey advice
I’m 28 and have been TTC for baby number 2 for 6 years. I was on Metformin for 4 years and the side effects were so brutal they advised me to stop. I’ve just had my second laparoscopy to remove a very large cyst which then gave me my first period after 2 years! My BMI is 34 which I am now trying so hard

Waiting for a Hysterectomy
Hello everyone, I am writing to ask for any advice/support or similar situations. I am 39, F, live in Scotland UK Have been having problems since May 2021 - heavy menstrual bleeding and pain, hadn't had any issues or bleeding for 20+ years on the mini-Pill Degestrel, so it came as a bit of a shock

mild IVF? not great so far.
Just an update on how mild IVF is going so far for anyone interested: After multiple (7!) miserable attempts with traditional IVF (1-2 mature eggs retrieved each time), I finally switched to a mild protocol. I did a week of estrogen priming with provera in the previous luteal phase, then started Clomid

how to contact gynae
I'd been put on provera for 3 months more than 3 months ago now, and was told by my gynaecologist to stop taking it if I felt new breast lumps. I did, and stopped taking it as ordered. But I got really painful pelvic pain on my left side that lasted 4+ hours at least, I went to my GP about it and he

Endo pain after surgery
hi I had surgery to remove my endo around 2 months ago and since then things were slowly going in the right direction pain wise. However, pre surgery I was dealing with random bleeding and post surgery it was the same so 3 weeks ago, my consultant changed me from Provera to Yasmin. In the past week

anyone else hate Provera?
Hi all, I’m embarking on my 7th egg collection (woohoo!), my first time doing “mild” IVF. My doc always prescribes Provera for 2 weeks before stims, and I find that every cycle I feel worse and worse with it. My heart races, I can’t sleep well, and my moods are absolutely insane (up and down, round

Provera (medroxyprogesterone)
Hi there everyone, I hope you’re all having a lovely day wherever you are. I was only recently officially diagnosed with endometriosis after having an MRI for it. During the consultation I was given two options which was either starting a course of medroxyprogesterone to see how I’d get on as it may

Worried about taking Provera for late period
At the start of the year I was diagnosed with PCOS. I have very long cycles as a result. This cycle I'm on has been really long and I've been getting pms symptoms for a while because of the length of the cycle. I'm going on holiday in less than a week and would like to have a period before I go, to

Medication Advice
Hi I’ve been prescribed provera tablets to help regulate my periods,I’ve had a look online and it says to take them an hour away from thyroid medication, would you say this was right? I have to take it twice a day.

alone and hopeless
I just can’t help but wonder does this ever truly get better. I’ve always had painful periods but over the last 2 years, I’ve got worse to the point where I don’t even recognise who I am anymore. I don’t understand how I could go from who I was to the state I’m in now. I feel so alone even though

Too young for keyhole?
Hi all, I finally spoke to gynaecology. I've been put on provera for three months and then they're going to do another ultrasound to see if anything has changed. I had two ultrasounds done a few months apart and the cysts are getting bigger. The doctor said he was reluctant to do keyhole because of my
