Too young for keyhole?
Hi all, I finally spoke to gynaecology. I've been put on provera for three months and then they're going to do another ultrasound to see if anything has changed. I had two ultrasounds done a few months apart and the cysts are getting bigger. The doctor said he was reluctant to do keyhole because of my

Provera
Has anybody tried this and did it help with pain? My gynecologist has just prescribed this to see if it helps with pain then failing this it will have to be a laparoscopy

I’ve been on the

injections for the last six months, which the consultant said should help me by stopping my periods, which it did for a time, but now I’ve been fluctuating between bleeding and spotting for nearly two months. Has anyone had a similar experience, and what did you do?

Provera for 1 week only
Hi Everyone, I started heavily bleeding on Desogestrel after 4 months so I asked to try Provera. The Dr would only give me a weeks worth, enough to try and stop the bleeding for my smear test next week. I thought you could take it for longer than that at a lower dose as an alternative to the mini

Advice please - possibly starting stims today - unsure of timings after withdrawal bleed.
Hello All, I’m hoping you wonderful people can offer some advice. This is our first round of IVF, I’ve been on a course of provera for 16 days, finished this on Friday 10th and started light bleeding on Saturday (11th) which is continuing. I’m due to start menopur on CD1 and was advised to wait until

Confused about IVF appointments
Hi everyone. I have PCOS so my periods are irregular. I've done clomid and IUIs with no success and am waiting to start NHS IVF. I've had my first 2 appointments (to provide samples for various tests and then to get the results of those tests). I'm confused about the next stage... I was told to call

Any advice?
My nearly 18 y/o has a 4 year plus history of endo. Confirmed with lap. A year ago mirena coil fitted, no improvement , constant bleeding - tried desogesterol, provera and now noriday. We have been repeatedly told she should persevere with the coil, it’s the “ holy grail” of endo treatment and we should

long awaited rheumy appointment
nearly a year, then appt just 15 minutes long…was booked as a 45 mins appt. Nobody went in before me, I was only one in waiting room, & I saw him go into his room 5 mins before my appt time. I then waited 35 minutes. He seemed angry because I’d been given a new patient appt when I’d been seen twice before

Pcos with regular but very light periods?
Hi all, I have lean pcos and was diagnosed via ultrasound after coming off the pill a year ago and not having a period. I had elevated testosterone levels on a blood test but everything else was fine (I have no unwanted hair growth). I started very lightly spotting a month ago and to the day I'm now

One set back after another
I feel like I’m losing the will to live. There’s no real point to this post but I feel like I’m going no where. I was supposed to have an endometrial scratch today, day 21 of my cycle, in preparation to start my 4th round of stims next month. As ever, I’m still on my period. 21 days of bleeding again

Newbie - confused and needing advice
I'm desperately confused and frightened, and looking for advice. Probably quite a long post coming up (sorry). I'm currently 42 and have been pregnant twice in ten years - once with my first boy naturally after three years TTC and again with my second son following an IVF cycle two years ago. I have

Advice on medication
Hi Everyone, I've been offered medication as an alternative to the mini pill as I've tried Noriday which caused floods, and Desogestrel makes me bleed constantly. Norethisterone and Provera have been mentioned but I don't know which one to go on. I'm a bit weary of Norethisterone as Noriday made me

Tapering advice please.
Brief recap on me. In June this I year had 120mg Depo-medrone injection (for PMR), which was little short of miraculous, from private Rheumy who then wrote to my GP asking her to continue these on NHS. You bang your head against a brick wall at our surgery but I finally had another injection in September

Can anyone who has experienced it please explain the difference between 'withdrawal pain' and return of symptoms when reducing Pred dose?
I am currently on a high dose of Pred (22 per day). I feel this is the bare minimum my body needs, and I actually possibly need more. If I take, say 22.5, I feel much better. I'd obviously like to reduce the dose if possible because of the side effects of Pred , but every time I go down to 21, even

I went from 1.01 THS to 7.5 after IVF cycle was this because the stimulation drugs? What to do next?
I’ve been taking levothyroxine since Dec 2021, trying to understand the right dose. Finally 75mg seems correct to keep my TSH under 2.5, the ideal range to conceive and stay pregnant. On 7th JulyJuly I was 1.01 then I had one IVF cycle. I took in August- prep month 10mg provera 9am and 10mg 10pm. This
