provera 5 day course still no bleed

Hi all , i am waiting to start my first letrozole cycle.

I have taken 5 days provera 10 mg . I was told i would get my period within a week. However no period its day 6 today. Im getting really worried . When did you get your bleed ? After a 5 day course? Really eager to start the letrozole

i have drunk coffee ate nuts to try induce it naturally might just work out and see if i can induce it that way

Hi PCOS. Try not to worry too much, it will start soon. Don’t want to upset you but it can take up to three weeks.You will be fine once you get started. Good luck. Diane

Hi Diane ,

I have read that if you take the dose for 10 days you get it after a couple of days but if you take the 5 day dosage you get it within a week . My instructions say it should come within 7 days . Tomorrow is the 7th day so hoping it shows up

Hi sorry your waiting for this medication to take effect.I was given this after my cycles started going mentally long after the covid jab and actually I never got a period after the course for a long time.

Of course this caused me untold stress and robbed me of a 12 chance year.

Have you had the jab recently?

Noo i havent had the covid jab recently i have pcos so i dont get periods . Was supposed to try letrozole treatment for fertility but can only start once i get my period . I have taken norethisterone before and bled on day 5 but nothing on provera as of yet . Hoping it shows up tomorrow otherwise im not sure what else my dr will do to try and induce it

I’ve taken provera on two occasions (same dose) and both times I bled on day 10. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to what it says online as everyone is different and the advice will be very generalised. Try not to worry it will arrive very soon ☺️

Started my period yesterday! Day 8 full flow xx started my letrozole today
