Correct dose of b12 post abdominal surgery/stoma bag
I am trying to help my son. Many years ago he was diagnosed with Crohns disease and over the years has had extensive abdominal surgery. He now has a stoma bag. At present he is taking 1000mcg of b12 but I have recently read that he needs at least 2000 mcg! He is constantly feeling unwell! I would

Interesting update for those in the UK whose GP practice has Buprenorphine red listed
Finally, after months of hitting my head against a brick wall with my GP practice, where Buprenorphine is firmly red-listed (and the partners flatly refuse to change their stance, even after being presented with all the research we know about on this site), I have been able to obtain an NHS prescription

update and advice please
First of all I want to thank the administrators and everyone who contribute to this forum. I look at it several times a week and so continue to learn about our shared condition from all the contributions. I need to take a bit of a sounding about my next steps – I think I know what I want to do, but

Update on tooth extraction before CABG surgery
I just want to thank all the kind and helpful people who responded to my post about my husband's tooth extraction prior to triple bypass surgery. I have spoken with both his cardiologist and his surgical team and both have given the go ahead for the extraction, and both feel it is up to the dentist

asking for a friend (really) oncologist referral Chicago or Mayo Rochester
I am an open book for people newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and often hear from friends of friends. Looking back on my journey, I feel that I too quickly went the surgery route after consulting with a very good urologist/surgeon/oncologist and I erred not consulting with a Medical Oncologist first

Cataract surgery post Trabeculectomy
Had a trab 6 months ago and the blurry vision never disappeared. Now they want to do cataract surgery and I am hesitant as it may fail the trab surgery that was already done successfully. Has anybody had an experience with the blurry eye after surgery or pls share your experience with cataract surgery

RAI failure... worse than previously.. advice please
Hi, pleased to find this forum as struggling knowing what to do next... I've had hyperthyroidism for 12 years, tested negative for graves twice, so likely TMG although consultants also think possibly graves?! Had a failed biopsy and been subclinical for a while... had RAI at the end of Jan. Now worse

Trabeculectomy tips?
Hi I was diagnosed two or three years ago just prior to my 50th birthday. Drops have been ok but left eye seems to be deteriorating quite rapidly. I am having a trabeculectomy in my left eye in a couple of weeks. I know surgery is experienced differently for everyone but wondered if anyone had any tips

Nerve damage
Hi, Has anyone experienced nerve damage as a result of endometriosis? My surgeon warned me it was a risk associated with surgery and I already had some symptoms of nerve involvement but they're worse since surgery. Is there anything that helps?

thanks for all the responses. I’ve been fighting metastatic bc since 2011 after 19 years from original diagnosis stage 2. Prognosis was very good. Surprised after 19 years. I was put on femara and Zometa. Then 2018 switched to ibrance , fasladex and Zometa. Oncologist retired so I went too Sloan. I ended
