Hey everyone just wondered if anyone been in the same boat there experiences etcSo I had surgery 5 weeks ago to have my tubes removed to them being blocked damaged and swollen, I have endo of the bowel and stuck alot together plus endemtriomas so whole lot really so had key hole they ended up removing both drained both cysts and managed to free up overies didn't have any endo removed due to the bowel resection/stoma at this stage decided to leave alone as fertility is the priority. I couldn't have egg collection before due to overies hiding and cysts in the way.
Have people who have there tubes removed carried on using there own eggs or used donor?
IV got a appointment in October. So last thing I remember her saying that my ovaries are now completely free so she sed if you want to try with your own eggs that wouldn't be an issue like before. Before surgery I had accepted that donor would be only way but now Im like do I try I know these are questions for the appointment but wondered what other people did in this situation and there outcomes
Thanks for reading

I had both tubes removed a couple of years ago and was also told no reason I can’t carry on with my own eggs. I had 3 back to back egg collections and because of my age (I’m now 41) I opted for pgta testing. I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant with an euploid embryo. Wishing you all the very best. Xx
Hi, sorry I know this is old but I am just wondering if, by any chance, you noticed a reduction in eggs/follicles from before and after your tube removal? I've just had a tube removed and I've seen some studies and now I'm so upset this will be the case for me! Thanks so much and assuming baby is here, congratulations xx
Hi, I had 9 collected from one egg collection in 2021 but only 4 made it to blastocyst. I then had 15 collected from three cycles in 2023. I wasn’t aware that the removal could result in fewer. But I was on a lower dose of medication in the three cycles that resulted in 15 eggs.
