Debulking Surgery

Can anyone tell me what are the best briefs following debulking surgery? I know with a c section you need ‘big pants’ but what is best for a vertical incision? Thank you in advance.

Covid protection during chemotherapy

I was diagnosed in 2020 with stage 3C OC and I had debulking surgery followed by carpotoxal chemotherapy which finished in July 2020. Since then I have had my covid vaccine plus 3rd and 4th booster.

Bowel obstruction after debulking surgery

I had complete hysterectomy and debulking surgery 3.5 weeks ago. Getting a barium enema tomorrow to find out more where obstruction is. This is so discouraging as I just feel like it’s 3 steps forward and 2 steps back.

Post Frontline Advice

Hi, my mum had her debulking surgery (complete removal of all cancer) in April and finished her last chemo two weeks ago. She was diagnosed in November 2021 with Stage 3C High Grade Serous. Her CA125 is normal and was 949 at diagnosis.

I’ve had OC debulking surgery 3 weeks ago and am making a good recovery . I wondered if anyone has information about how they felt after surgery.

Surgical wound not healing

Hi everyone It is 5 weeks since I had my debulking surgery and my wound is not healing properly. The nurses in the treatment room are using honey dressings but it is still wet and oozing in 4 different spots.

Hi everyone,

It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since my debulking surgery. Today I am in a little pain. Is this normal after having debulking surgery.

Sinus problems

No Avastin on my 6 th chemotherapy as I am now waiting for for debulking surgery on 9th February. My runny nose has not improved and I am going through boxes of Kleenex! Has anyone else had this and does it improve or go away?

Good News.

I was diagnosed 4a, had 6 chemo, debulking surgery and have had 1 post op chemo (final one to do tomorrow). On Monday my Oncologist gave me my last scan results and they were clear of disease with my CA125 at 18. I am still processing this huge news, I didn't believe I would ever get here.

Not suitable for surgery

I read lots of success stories but you all seem to have had debulking surgery. Is there anyone out there like me? X

CA125 has risen post surgery. AND Sore and weak and feet and ankles post chemo.

All looked good after debulking surgery but now after round 5 and 6 the ca125 was at 424 and then 404. Any ideas? Also I get really bad neuropathy in my toes and sore ankles post chemo, Is there a way of combatting that or am I just too impatient to get get out walking with my dog?

New here

After 3 rounds of carboTaxol I responded well enough for debulking surgery on Xmas eve. This was successful and in Feb 2021 my scan showed NED, was then put on a maintenance drug Bevacizumab and will have my last one on the 16th Feb 2022. I'm also non BRAC.

Internal scar tissue perhaps?

Hi all, I had debulking surgery back in July (including resectioning of paracardiac and paraortic lymph nodes) and every so often if I yawn or something I get a pain right hand side of my ribs, might this be internal scar tissue? Has anyone else experienced this please? Thankyou and stay safe X

How to live life after diagnosis

I had debulking surgery 19th jan (taking omentum, small part of peritoneum, bit of small and large bowel, falciform ligament and caecal adhesions) straight after which the surgeon said they think they got it all and also there were a couple of spots of what they thought were scar tissue but they took
