AD's and IBS
Hi everyone, I'm sure you've all heard about being or have been prescribed some anti-depressants for your IBS. I had a bad flare-up of symptoms about 8 months ago after I'd increased my initial 50mg dose of Sertraline to 100mg. I finished up with serotonin syndrome after taking the higher dose for

Duloxetine?
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone could tell me about their experience of Duloxetine? One of my GP's mentioned it to me during treatment for my IBS. I've since done research and seen that Duloxetine is better for my kind of IBS. I'm not mega enthused about starting a new anti-depressant, but

PET/CT Scan Normal, Bloods Normal, but Responds to Steroids!
I tapered off prednisolone completely to prepare for the scan, as requested. I had been reducing by 1mg/day every 3 weeks. When my appointment letter arrived, I accelerated this to -1mg/day every week. That meant I took the last pill the day before the scan. I had to be driven there and back because

Last September I experienced extremely cold feet, even though they were warm to the touch. Pain, tingling, and a tapping-like sensation moved up my legs. My GP referred me and I saw a consultant for an initial consultation who lined up tests, including MRI, etc. I had EMG and NCS tests yesterday (Friday

Strange episodes
Hi all, I’m going to reach out to my GP but wondered if anyone else has had similar symptoms. I was diagnosed with endometriosis following a lap in 2020. Last year I started experiencing strange episodes of feeling light headed, dizzy, nauseous and suddenly quite sweaty. It would last about 15

Hi all first post on this forum. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last week but have had symptoms (fatigue, low mood, whole body aches) for ages and took early retirement in December. I’ve got osteopenia and been prescribed Gabapentin and co-codamol for compression fractures and disc compression

duloxetine withdrawal
I’m looking for any suggestions to coming off duloxetine after 10years+ and if anything helped these awful and debilitating symptoms I’m having. I’ve gradually reduced from 60mg since last May 2022, currently on 20 mg every 3 days and desperate to stop taking them as I’m this close but I feel so awful

Open Angle glaucoma and Duloxetine medication
I have open angle glaucoma and my Neurologist wants me to go on Duloxetine as I have peripheral neuropathy. I have read the leaflet and it says do not take if you have glaucoma as it can raise eye pressure. I have asked my neurologist, GP and Ophthalmologist if it okay to take and they really do not

RSL and Cortisol Levels
Tried to come off Ropinirole but the withdrawal was hard and I ended up with almost constant RLS symptoms I managed to reduce from 2mg to 0.5mg, but I am now back on Ropinirole reduced to 1mg per night. I am finally sleeping again albeit only 5 hours. I have also withdrawn from Duloxetine for Fibromyalgia

Stalling
It's as if I have been in a dream for the last five years. My life just stalled. I looked at my journal and realized that the same issues I complained about then are the same issues I'm struggling with today. Tried fluoxetine and duloxetine but they weren't as effective as I had hoped. Are there better

A long post - How medication was ruining my life, not making me better! Reassurance for anyone concerned about stopping medication.
Hi ladies. A very Happy New Year to you all! I am hoping that 2023 treats you all with improved health and a wealth of happiness. I have seen a lot of posts recently appearing on my feed regarding treatments and hormones, and so I just wanted to share my recent experience of stopping all treatments.

Anxiety and panic attacks
Since I was a child, I've suffered on and off from anxiety and panic attacks. In 2005 I finally saw a psychiatrist who prescribed 20mg paroxetine which I could cut in half if I felt good, then go back up to 20mg if needed. That's exactly what I did early in November. The anxiety got worse. It's now been
