Hi.I've just been given Duloxetine for my Anxiety and Depression.
I have been feeling poorly for a long time, with so many different things wrong, gastric trouble, shaking, no interest, so very tired the list I endless, in the end I contacted my doctor.
I didn't want a strong Antidepressant, so he has given this one for me.
Does anyone take this?
If so have they found it okay.

I take it for Anxiety 120mg per day which I think is the max dose. I switched to it from paxil and have noticed a slight improvement. No nasty side effects. A bit of dry mouth that's about it. It's a SNRI drug not SSRI so it works on two Neurotransmitters, norepinephrine, and seratonin. I hope it works for you it's a good drug
I take it for long term anxiety, it takes three or more weeks to be effective. I am in my sixth week and it is very effective for me. I was found to be in low level vitamin D and take vitamin d supplement as well. I take the Duloxetine just before bedtime so I can sleep through the mild after effects. Mainly dizziness which goes away by morning, best of luck.
Hi, 20 mg a day is a very low dosage. I took Duloxetine for about 8 years and was very happy with it, unfortunately it stopped working for me after so long on it. I had to change to Mirtazapine and the downside of that is I have put weight on and have had to go up a dress size to 16 UK. Lot of my clothes gone too tight. Hang on in there with Duloxetine, it’s one of the best x
My daughter takes a split dose. 30mg in the am and 30mg before bed. It has worked very well to level off her anxiety for almost 5 years now. It makes her a little sleepy for the day dose but that is combatted with her adhd meds which give her alertness. The doctor had to split the dose because the side effects were too great for her.
