Stalling

It's as if I have been in a dream for the last five years. My life just stalled. I looked at my journal and realized that the same issues I complained about then are the same issues I'm struggling with today. Tried fluoxetine and duloxetine but they weren't as effective as I had hoped. Are there better alternatives?

I am so sorry you are going through this, BlueJam. But you are not alone! I can relate because I’ve been struggling for about 5 years, too. It’s really hard, too, because I had never been through anything like this before, but ever since Covid hit, things escalated and I’ve been living in almost complete isolation. And when I get upset, I immobilize, so I understand what you are saying, as I feel like my life has stalled, too. I know I’ve got to pull out of this and I’m here to gather support, as well as give it. I hope my words are able to help you in some way; even if it is just in the knowledge that there is someone else who understands you.

Thanks a lot for your kindness and understanding. Stalling is frustrating because it seems like nothing you do positively changes the outcome. I just keep trying despite the setbacks and hope that you will too. We must beat this!

I agree with you that it is frustrating. But you are right in saying that we must keep trying. And I am going to keep moving forward as best as I can! My friends that know keep saying “baby steps”. And they are right, as even little things are a step in the right direction.
