Just wondering if anyone could tell me about their experience of Duloxetine?
One of my GP's mentioned it to me during treatment for my IBS. I've since done research and seen that Duloxetine is better for my kind of IBS.
I'm not mega enthused about starting a new anti-depressant, but I'm currently only on 25mg of Sertraline and have been ready to wean off for a while now. About 8 months ago I increased my initial 50mg dose to 100mg and finished up with serotonin syndrome after taking the higher dose for 3 weeks which was very scary, I'm scared the same will happen again but I do feel I need some medication as I'm noticing old OCD patterns starting to form again with the 25mg I'm currently on.
Anywho, thanks for reading

I was on Duloxetine 60 mg for 8 years and had no problems at all. Then it stopped working so with the help of my GP I tapered off slowly onto Mirtazapine. Put on loads of weight with the new one but mentally ok.
My psychiatrist just prescribed it for m today. He said it is very important to take it every day because, as others mentioned, you can get sick if you stop taking it for even a day. You can have diarrhea, headaches, jitters but it doesn’t happen too often. I hope it helps me.
