I've been on here a few times with getting advise on pain and ibs, after my recent visit to my gyno consultant in January he has prescribed be on duloxetine and to see what I'm like after 6 weeks, my local gp and the gyno consultant do think that the leftside lower rib area pain that hurts when i turn from the waist to the left or right is multesketetol, the pain only hurts on the initial move or turning over in bed and then it seems to be OK, I'm hoping this medication will help me? Any members had similar pain that doesn't seem to be ibs or are on this duloxetine.

I have lower left pain and no one knows what cause it.
I was told by my GP Duloxetine can cause worsening cramping in IBS, so just watch out for that. If you think the pain is definitely linked to the bowel, have they considered IBD rather than IBS? You'd probably need a colonoscopy for that diagnosis.
Hi I'm have ibs and was experiencing bad pain on the left side aswell as diarrhea and urgency . I have been on duloxetine for around 6 months and have felt alot better .
been on duloxetine for eight and a half years and it changed my life. It stopped genital pain so I no longer have to sleep with ice between my legs. And the bonus is that all my dreams are pleasant and interesting! Buon fortuna!
