2023: Your Successes and Failures
My mum is 83, has PD and dementia.
Successes
1. Constipation and digestive issues very much helped with the addition of Motilitone, a prokinetic. Once a day or every other day now. No strain. Zero stress around the issue now. Previously, there was a great deal. Abdominal pains have gone. (

No stamina
I am confident I have my thyroid hormones at right level and most of my symptoms are gone. I am slowly losing weight, alert, happy, skin is better. My arthritis plays up hence the inflammation but my main issue is lack of stamina. I can only really do one thing a day after which I am wiped out and need

Vitamin C and B12
Despite weekly injections of b12 my blood results show that I am only mid range and I am still symptomatic. I take codeine for arthritic pain and with this I take about 4000 mg of vitamin C to alleviate constipation. Is the vit C helping rid my body of B12 and if so can I just increase my injections

Loss of taste of food due to anxiety.
I don't have taste of food at all. Is this due to anxiety or vitamin c deficiency? I can taste ice cream somewhat though.

I have had long term UTIs arising post radiation therapy. I also have bile salts malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years

Orchiectomy
I have metastatic cp to the bone. I have been on Lupron Xtandi and Hi dose Vitamin C for the last 19 months my current PSA is <0.1 and has been for the last 6 months. I am 83 years old and am in reasonable good health, other than pc. I have read that having an orchiectomy would yield longer life. Also

The dilemma of hypoalbuminemia
Hello everyone, I have a history of MPN for many years, I have noticed that my liver protein, total protein, albumin, and prealbumin levels are all frighteningly low in routine medical examinations. I even suspect that my C-reactive protein levels are low even when I am in an inflammatory state. Low

My 3 Arrows Heme Iron has finally arrived! How do I dose it?
It seemed to take a long time to arrive. But it's finally here. At my last blood test my iron was low, not deficient and not low enough for a doctor to comment. But lower than I want and I struggle to keep Ferritin half decent. I've never had good Ferritin. So how do you take your 3 Arrows Heme

Test results. Can you advise please.
After great advice on this forum regarding my thyroid nodules, I requested from my GP surgery the same tests as are provided in the Blue Horizon Golden Thyroid Test. The clinician seemed to want to help and I thought almost everything would be tested. However, these are my results and, as is clear

C-reactive protein
Greetings from northern Canada! I was diagnosed with RA 6 months ago and my CRP was in the 100s. It has gone up and down since then. It was 1.7 last month and I was told I'm in remission. Now it's up to 27.5 again. Does anyone have any experience with this? The inflammation is obviously still in my body

Hi Forum, I'm looking for some advice please? I have been to the drs many times over the years to have my thyroid tested as I struggle with fatigue, depression, weight gain, brain fog. Hi again I have to get my iron levels up.. Vitamin C injections and supplements
I have CLL for seven years. My doctor does not think I will ever need treatments. I go to a local hematologist and to Moffitt once a year. But, I of course wonder. I am taking vitamin C injections and I take a number of supplements, but not sure if they are doing any good. Most are food supplements
