Ok thanks. The rheumatologist said in his 30 years of experience he had seen only a few cases where the blood work was normal, and the patient had PMR. But, he still told me to continue taking Pred, and gave me pages of information on PMR. I don’t know what he thinks I have. I’ll check on some of my past blood work, but I’m doubtful that I was checked for the markers of PMR, except the test this past January. I was already on Pred then.

I fear he is wrong or possibly blinkered. There aren't that many but there are some and some have raised markers FOR THEM but they aren't out of normal range. My rheumy here is a world authority on PMR and he is confident enough I have PMR. Some patients just don't raise the acute response and their markers remain lower. And as soon as you are on pred - they shouldn't be raised anyway.
