Active B12 of 31.5, folate of 1.72 - missing periods?
Hi Everyone, I’d really appreciate help with my friend’s daughter’s blood results please. Her main symptoms are being more tired than usual, some breathlessness, and missing periods, or just having a tiny bit of spotting. These symptoms have been going on for about 3 years, she’s 29. Her GP did

Am I taking too much vitamins?
I have no Idea what the weird numbers mean after it apart from ug. I included these incase it makes sense to someone else. I'm low in Vitamin D and iron , I always have been since a kid. I've only just noticed what each of the packet says , more concerned with taking both the multivitamin and the

Latest bloods - good?
Afternoon all, I've just received my latest Medichecks results and I'm feeling positive about them for the first time in 18 months. However, I would appreciate someone more knowledgeable casting their eyes over them for me just in case I'm missing something. TSH = 0.289 FT4 = 69% FT3 = 51.3% Current

Medicine/Supplement Regime (Mucuna etc)
I just thought I'd share my dad's current medicine regime in case it will help other people. After so many months of trial and error, we have finally found a dose that works for my dad. He takes it every 2 hours and 45 minutes with little freezing, has less dyskinesias, not much pain, a better appetite

Vitamins & Minerals
Just wondering what vitamins & minerals people take. At present, I take C0q10, magnesium, vitamin c. I did take the other 2 vits on the awesome foursome list ( D-ribose, L-carnitine) but it was getting quite expensive.

PS Hypo & tinnitus
Just found posts on this subject. Vitamin B deficiency seems prime culprit. I take a combo of Vit, B1 + B6 + B12. I get Vitamin D through sun exposure (a lot of it in Greece). I also take Folacin, Iron & vitamin C.

Saliva cortisol test results
Hi everyone I just got my saliva cortisol test results back and they are as follows: Waking: 9.78 (6-21) 12 noon: 5.19 (1.5-7.6) 4pm: 3.63 (0-5.5) Before bed <1.5 (0-2) I am relieved as this rules out adrenal insufficiency correct but is my waking level a little lower than it should be? Could this

Becoming unable to tolerate any of my t3 and scared
Hi everyone. I ordered a saliva cortisol test and should get the results the end of this week due to my ongoing symptoms and difficulty raising T3 above 10mcg despite being very hypo in both symptoms and lab ranges and raising T4 not doing anything except making me feel worse. I am currently on 75mcg

Ferritin/Iron Advice & Other Results
So, I've finally had blood tests done for iron and other things, and have attached the results. Of note ferritin is only 44, I know that this is low. I am vegetarian, Dr knows this and didn't seem to care. She has also marked all these tests as no further action required. If someone can look at my ferritin

Levo without additives
Hi all. A while back I mentioned that I had found a UK company that makes levo without any additives in it. It is basically T4 suspended in almond oil with vitamin C as the preservative. They would only tell me the cost if I got a private script, which I finally managed to do free off my GP... however

No medication seems to be working to ease some of the pain
Me again. No medication seems to be working. I'm currently on 3 gabapentin, Naproxen, 2 Omeprazoles (stomach was slightly damaged in early may as I wasn't aware that you had to have a stomach lining tablet with naproxen... Dr didn't give any Omeprazole with the naproxen so was advised to take 2 of them

Ferritin, Folate, Vitamin B12 numbers - confused and not sure whether to take a B complex or iron
Apologies if this is a bit long but I am very confused by this whole subject. I am self treating with T3 for Impaired sensitivity to Thyroid Hormone [ISTH]. I began to self treat in late January of this year - it was the right way to go because if I hadn't I don't think I'd still be here now writing

Low Free Triiodothyronine Levels Are Associated With Risk of Frailty in Older Adults With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
A peculiar paper. The idea that we should measure FT3 in order to assess risk of frailty seems distinctly half-baked. We see so many times assertions that it is entirely "normal" for older people to have higher TSH and lower FT4 and FT4, it at least could be welcome to see low FT3 highlighted as having

Underactive thyroid / M.E. help needed analysing blood test results
I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid aged 14 after 4 years of feeling ill and put on 125 mg of levothyroxine. Unfortunately at the same time I was diagnosed with glandular fever. I have spent years oscillating between feeling well and hardly being able to get out of bed . I practice yoga, rest
