Albumin.
I have posted on the importance of albumin before, particularly in: "Inflammation ... Albumin & C-Reactive Protein [CRP]" [1] It's odd that albumin could prove to be predictive of survival in different medical situations, & even in "healthy" individuals. I have often wondered why an albumin infusion

Ferritin 23 and iron 74
Not sure if this is the right place to post but need some advice. Above are my levels. I know the ferritin is on the low side of “normal 13-200 range and iron is a little low of “normal” 37-145. What supplements can I take to increase these safely?! My other vitamin levels are low also being: vitamin

Calceos Vit C and D
There seems to be a question mark with me and Calceus I was prescribed it to begin with on 40mg pred by the GP. Then the R-consultant has also put Calcium and vitamin D on as part of the medication. Which kind of seemed logical at the time on 60mg of pred. But now probably for all the right reasons

European Liver Patients Association - HE & HEP C
First of all I'd like to send a special thank you Jim (LAJ123) for his excellent work with the Liver Transplant Patient's Consortium. Jim very kindly sent me some information about the burden of Liver disease in Europe and in particular the case of Hepatic Encephalopathy: http://www.elpa.eu/sites/default

Stem Cell Treatment
A little while ago I mentioned that liver transplants could one day become a thing of the past. Day by day the use stem cell treatment and research brings us closer to finding a cure for liver disease. HIV positive man in London becomes second person ever to be cleared of virus after stem cell transplant

New Test Results (feedback please) and Mixed Endo Results (US)
I would love some feedback on these labs from you wonderful people. Met with endo and they completed first round of testing (after gp refused to do any increase in NDT medication even though symptoms AND fT3/4 levels were worse). There was good and bad. Endo will not do rT3, saliva cortisol, active

For those looking for vitamin c powder
I continue to have kidney infections and because of this particular form vitamin c powder I no longer worry about it. I hope this helps. I take a teaspoon at night with couple glasses of water. Bye bye two kidney infections. But I wear an external catheter and that's where the infection started from.

New cholesterol lowering drug
With all the interest in the affect of cholesterol on PCa, I thought this paper might be of Cardiol Rev. 2019 Jan/Feb;27(1):49-56. doi: 10.1097/CRD.0000000000000218. New to T3 but not new to Hashimotos
I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to advise me about taking T3. I have 25mcg so I did intend being very wary and taking one quarter for say 5 to 7 days and then perhaps upping it gradually. I am nervous as a functional medicine gp prescribed some NDT a couple of year ago, only a quarter
