So over the past weeks I have been suffering with anxiety attacks, then trapped wind and now the dreaded symptoms, the cough developed Monday along with a sore throat but it mimicked my Asthma, when it flares it gives me flu symptoms and as I had no temperature or shortness of breath I thought nothing of it. Yesterday I got sent home cause I started getting quite breathless, however still no temperature. Then 3am this morning woke up with a temperature of 38.7 shortness of breath, chest pain, headache, sore throat and my cough. It was time to call 111. Because I fell into a high risk category with my health conditions and shortness of breath, and ambulance was called. 4 hours later, yes 4 (this is pandemonium) they came and assessed me all my vitals were fine, they said they are not taking anyone to hospital or testing for it and that I should self isolate for 7 days as symptoms should subside and il no longer be contagious. Paracetamol only no ibuprofen as this makes symptoms worse. They did say it could be flu, it could be common cold or my asthma playing up, it could however be covid-19. Im just at a loss to be fair, part of me didn't want to be tested anyway as I didn't want to know (I've already taken Diazepam as I had an anxiety attack this morning.) Im just fearful and need some reassurance that I will fight whatever this is, be it common cold, flu, Asthma or covid-19.
Thanks

Are you able to get in touch with your rheumatologist or specialist nurse? If you have any kind of virus and have a fever then you may be advised to temporarily stop some lupus treatments if you are on any immunosuppressants - this needs to be assessed on a case by case basis though.
I'm only on Hydroxychloquine for the lupus, Mirabegron for bladder, Asprin to thin blood and Sertraline for anxiety. I wasn't advised to stop taking my medication or inhalers by paramedics so didn't think it would need to be.
You're not on any immunosuppressants so you wouldn't be likely to need to stop any of your treatments. If you have a virus you should still inform your consultant if possible as they have much more experience in managing lupus than paramedics would.
