Rupert Sheldrake – The Science Delusion: Why Materialism is not the Answer
This was posted by Dr. Kelly Brogan from Dr. Frank Lipman's website. If you can invest about 20 minutes it is a thought provoking banned TED talk. I thought it was a lot of fun. One of my favorite quotes, "A dogmatic assumption actually inhibits enquiry." Those of us who live in the 'thyroid' world

Exercise
I have severe COPD with other health problems. I see a lot of articles that tell us to exercise. I know walking is a good form of exercise. I walk, and I do breathing exercise, but I just don't feel like this is enough. I got some two pound weights to lift while I'm doing my breathing exercise. I'm 66

Humour
An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of his physical exam. The doctor gave the man a jar and said, "Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow." The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean

Just posting this quickly as am already pooped / headache, but I was looking to see why my sweat had changed to something intolerable ( cabbages) and was all ready to blame the pain meds when I found this interesting article and now am persuing the methionine as a possible cause as it relates to my PA

Diagnosed with PSP 6th Jan 2015
Just over 3 years ago I seen a neurologist who suspected I had MND. Recently had a Dat Scan followed by an MRI and Spect Scan as my illness wasn't following the usual pattern of MND. I was told it was PSP last Tuesday. The only question I have after researching PSP is that all my symptoms fit other than

Out Spending Money...Again
I've been saving up for a tumble dryer...much to Himself's disgust because he's thinking of the leccky bill... The problem is not so much damp clothes and stuff it's more dog hairs 'cos Eilis sleeps with me on the settee and sheds copious amounts of short dark hair that seems to be impossible to get

The storm
Last night I lay in my bed listening to the rain and the wind lashing and buffeting the house , making the tiles jump and chatter on the roof - sleep deserted me . This morning I looked out through tear streaked windows and watched pearl droplets increasing in size and momentum as they coursed erratically

Armour Thyroid pre- and post-reformulation
I would ask a question about Armour Thyroid; I know some members here are on it and doing fine. If the addition of cellulose a few years ago made Armour harder to digest (and made sublingual administration impossible), can it work like it used to if the dose is raised, to compensate for impaired absorption

Finally, a consultant who understands!
Finally, I've seen a consultant who seems to understand this wretched illness and the difficulty of reducing steroids without causing a flare up. He knew what I was talking about when I said I was trying to follow the Kirwan reduction plan, deplored the fact that not much research is being done on

Fibro flare ups: /
Hi everyone. I recently posted on here about my stomache lump which has since been scanned and all is ok. My blood tests all came back normal and so the rheumatologist and gp are both in agreement that it's probably fibromyalgia causing my problems. I have been given ametripatim to take instead of

Tertiary Hypothyroidism
You hear a lot about Primary and even Secondary hypothyroidism but very little about Tertiary hypothyroidism. Has anyone on here been diagnosed with it or had any Hypothalamic Dysfunction recognised?

Working in a hot climate.
Hi has anyone worked in a hot climate? I have been offered a job in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. I know its hot out there but I think it will be mostly office based. I'm going to have a meeting mid September about my role it will be in construction. I'm not working at the moment I quit my job December 2013.
