HELP!! I'm moving.

Good morning to anyone reading, hope you are well today.

I'm moving in 9days time, eeeeek. My knees, back, feet, thighs and calves are hurting but i'm managing to find time to rest while I take my preg. My problem is my hands , wrist and especially my fingers hurt ( please don't be fooled, i'm in agony doing this ),regardless of what I take the pain won't go away. I'm wearing wrist supports but nothing for my fingers. Does anyone have any ideas how I can ease this pain as it's so hard to keep the momentum up to sort out everything. I'm so excited to move and I don't want this to have an affect on my mood, because over the last few months those times of happiness have been very few and far between!!

So again, any advice would be very gratefully appreciated.

Have a good day all.

Kmc xx

I am sorry that your hands and fingers are playing up. It is hard enough moving without being in pain.

I find that the pain relief gel called,`Phorpain`helps me I dont know if you can buy it. mine was supplied by my doctor and is rapidly being use up by my old man on his back.

Hope you find a solution soon and good luck with your move.

Hugs sue xx

Thanks Sue,

That just reminded me, my daughter has some gel for her back so i'll nick some of that (keep it in the family)! xx

Hi kmc-cudsleepforaweek

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. I like mayrose54 suggestion of gel! My wife has some Ibuprofen gel and I am always nicking a bit for myself!

I want to wish you all the best with your move and I hope that you have a wonderful time in your new home.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Perhaps you should go to a physical therapist and learn maneuvers that will help relieve the pain. I have bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar syndrome in my right hand. I understand the pain you are in and it can be excruciating. Not to mention the weakness. For me, the pain was partly due to the wrist itself and partly due to spasms in my palm and in other hand muscles. Sometimes I have to let my arms fall back and turn them upright because they feel so weak and it helps to relieve the pain and aching. The exercises do help and I use self massage they taught me in the areas where they found the spasms - they're like hardnesses in the muscles and cause cramping and referred pain to the fingers.

I also like the idea of using applied gel as Mayrose suggested. The combination of these things may help. But do as little as you can for the moving. Take your time packing boxes and let someone else do the heavy lifting. You really cannot handle that, no pun intended.
