Pycnogenol
Have seen articles in newsapapers about Pycnogenol. It is also referred to on this asthma site news as ""'An add-on treatment made from pine bark extract may help to improve the symptoms of children with mild to moderate asthma, suggests a new study."" This was in 2005. Would appreciate your comments

Occupational asthma
hello, can any of you good people help?-I am putting out ""feelers""at work about getting some kind of official definition of whether or not I should be classified as having occupational asthma or,at least,work-aggravated asthma-my own asthma problems started the same week that I was moved to a different

Its time ... we need a proper UK assessment.
I have a wonderful son called Lucas. Its terrible to see him suffer. He has a number of triggers that are predictable and on occasion asthma that I cant pin down to anything. I can work on the usual suspects but .. the others ... :( It makes complete sense to try to collate data from asthma sufferers

Post paracentesis painful lump
I had a paracentesis procedure prior to starting my chemo. After draining about 5 litres of fluid the site dried up but I'm left with an egg-shaped, fist size, hard and slightly painful lump at the entry point of the drain. Has anyone else experienced this? My second cycle of chemo is next week and I'm

The slippery slope
So who opened her big mouth too soon then? Moi. That's who. Riding high on a wave of euphoria, I had convinced myself I was on the way back up from a long trip down. I told you didn;t I? So what's changed? Errrr..... have no idea... My pecker is down, my positivity as become negative, euphoria

The Hardest Hit ..Disability March
I cannot remember a protest march that was so good natured and amiable. It was more of a gathering of people concerned with highlighting the injustice that is about to happen, and in some instances is already happening. The issues are many but here are a few: ...Cuts to Social Services funding meaning

Chondritis
My son has had back pain and the GP has suggested chondritis. Isn't this related to RA? I am really hoping you folks will say no. :(

APART FROM FREEXING HANDS & FEET AM ALSO LOSING MUSCLE TONE.
I have noticed that my bottom is disappearing (honestly, not joking). It seems that all the muscle has/is just fading. It is quite so to sit for long periods. Is this normal in lupus/SJS, should I report it to my new Lupus Consultant?

Stopping Treatment
Have been to see my oncologist today as I have been having problems with ascites this while on Topotecan. Have had 5 sessions since September and at my scan half way through there had been some improvement. He does not want me to have any more chemo and have quality of life rather than quantity. I
