Thankyou for your reply and I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis I know from research hashimotos is horrible :(, this and primary hyperparathyroidism are different. The parathyroids are separate from the tyroid but located behind the thyroid. They control calcium levels and parathyroid hormones. I'm still learning too! And I feel for you having 2 separate problems it reallt does knock you back x

Thanks for clearing that up for me at the moment I'm underactive because of treatment

But I'm having a easier time of that than be over

I just couldn't cope with that as trembling was so bad I kept falling over and went 3 days with no sleep now I just hurt and have thi very annoying sore head but a list im still standing

You poor thing :( I sympathsie with you I have been overactive and underactive most days i feel like im walking in no man's land through water. I hurt ache and am on another planet most of the time. As for the primary hyperparathyroidism the calcium in my blood is too high making me feel rough, sick and my muscles hurt. Constant headaches and nausea. Brain fog and weakness to list a few.

How long have you had this, I hope you have an understanding endocrinologist x

Hi Rach

I'm so sorry to here how much you are suffering I can't imagine how that feels it was bad enough being overactive I really thought I was going to die it was 12 weeks ago I was finally diagnosed after a year of going to my gp I'm lucky my endo is wonderfull and very though so I now feel I'm in good hands im actually going on hoilday in 2 weeks which 12 weeks ago I wouldn't of thought possible as I couldn't of even gone to the shops for milk so I can see light at end of tunnel

Hope you get soughted soon

Thanks for your post its so nice to know people are thinking of you I have just come back from a lovely hoilday in barbados I was concerned about going as I went with my daughter and she has lupus and at the moment her bloods are not good we both suffered a bit with the heat but we just kept out of sun and stayed under the trees and didn't attempt any trips I have more blood tests next week and although I have had great improvement I'm still concerned as im exhausted despite the hoilday and my legs and feet are constantly stiff not sure if that is my thyroid but I will talk to doctor and see what she thinks

it is wonderful what this site does for others in helping them understand and try to unravel their worries about thyroid problems so very much overlooked and not properly understood by many doctors it seems ...I had the same trouble many years ago but I am 79 and manageto keep gong ...Good Luck to all you suffers may you be listened to ...and get help ...Diana Homes was a prime example of being overlooked for many years....Love and God Bless Margaret
