PMR and the effect on mental health.
I consider myself as coping as I am getting to the point of acceptance of this disease after being diagnosed 12 weeks ago as a 57-year-old male but why do I have moments of absolute overwhelming sadness? I have never welled up to this extent and can even feel it coming on, which is very odd indeed.

Pulsatile tinnitus
Hi there. Does anyone else have pulsatile T. Mostly it comes and goes, always one-sided as the T is that side. I can make it go away by turning my head to the opposite side. But when i turn it back the T comes back. Shrugging my shoulders helps as well as stretching my neck. Have spoken to the doctor

Gentamicin Nebulised
HiI have bronchiectasis and pseudomonas colonisation. I have been on Colomycin for 10 years but have now seeked a second opinion for my condition (maybe a bit late but I took Littlepom's advice). They are looking to change me to Gentamicin instead. At present I am on IV antibiotics for 14 days. Fifth

Ah...I am breathing easier
This is for everyone (though it is old news for most) but I haven't ordered Pan Pharma hydroxy for a year...in fact I believe I got the end of the lot and when it finally came it had a very short expiration. It also took 6 nail-biting weeks to get here. I was worried but have noticed the trend of it

Hello everyone. Is there anyone else on here that is taking Colomycin via a nebuliser? I have had it often but not for the last 6 months. I restarted it on Thursday 19th October and since have been suffering badly with asthma, congestion and crackling, particularly at night when I lay down. I've

Aspirin Question
Does anyone happen to know if it’s ok to take Excedrin, for a bad headache, when you have Essential Thrombocythemia & on Pegasys? Asking because I know there’s a fairly high dosage of aspirin in Excedrin. Thank you!

Gym Circuits - good idea?
I manage my fibromyalgia through pacing and exercise so I swim, walk, run and do AquaFit. I have recently also tried to include pilates or yoga for stretching as well. However these classes have been cancelled and there is now a gym circuits class which I have done twice. It has caused me so much pain

Do I declare Esophageal varices (no longer found) on travel insurance?
Hi All, I've booked a holiday for April next year and I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding my travel insurance. Due to having a blood clot in my portal vein because of my MPN I was diagnosed with having Esophageal varices (bloated blood vessels). However, I recently had an endoscopic examination

Cerelle desogestrel
I've been taking 2x desogestrl tablets daily since January and have noticed the past few months cramping but no period, I've had to go to hospital for morphine to calm this, could this mean my endo has grown back even thought i only had a lap in March 22?

Dry-Needling and Low Level Laser Therapy By Physios: Does this really work and can it worsen tinnitus?
I triggered tinnitus and hyperacusis over 7 years ago now. Luckily it always went eventually but as of about 4 months ago it seems as if it is here to stay and a lot worse. An otologist told me that areas I said gave me pain could be consistent with TMJ issues and that he worked with a physio who could

tramadol
I was on tramadol for at least 10 years----100 mg. then my doc took me off because a neurologist put me on Clonazepam for REM/SBD (rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder.) But I was also getting cervical and lumbar rhizotomies...and still do every 12-14 months or so. I am now working with the VA
