Total knee replacement

19 days post op - been very tough especially when COVID thrown into the mix! My muscle tone wasn’t great pre-op but is now nonexistent. Is it possible to build muscle tone with PMR? Without PMR it’s possible to build good muscle tone with regular exercises but no matter how frequently I do my post op exercises I cannot maintain any muscle tone and each day is like starting from scratch. Got physio at hospital next week and my physio has no knowledge of PMR - I wonder if she’ll have read up on it since my first appointment before Xmas?

anyone had experience of TKR with PMR?

Plenty have had TKR with PMR... so hopefully will be along.. and yes you can build up muscle tone with PMR.. but as you've found not as easy as without ...and it takes a lot longer.
