marriage help - accepting love and compliments
I am currently in
counselling
, and am just recently out of hospital for major depressive disorder and severe anxiety. My dr. seems to think that my negativity towards my appearance will get better as my depression gets better , but I am doubtful.

Anxiety since RA - medication?
I am having
counselling
too, but feel maybe it’s time to try medication. I’m just worried about feeling worse before I feel better, and things like weight gain / insomnia If anyone has sone positive experiences of what helped with anxiety I’d really appreciate to hear thank you x

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction - I am miserable
I'm on a waiting list to see a psychiatrist for my time in ICU and having
counselling
in the meantime. I'm just so fed up with life and I don't think my family or friends get it. Thanks for reading.

Help finding help
The first time I went to a drop-in
counselling
and saw a student counsellor. He ended up talking about himself for almost the entire session and I never went back. The second time I saw a psychiatrist. The first thing he said when he walked into the room was, "I am not here to be your friend."

Need info/experiences of ADHD link with Eating disorder Anorexia
In the meantime she had
counselling
at school but only went to two sessions, she said this was because she doesn’t like talking. She has wondered about adhd because of my experience and we’ve tried to get a referral but it’s been difficult.

Post Traumatic Brain Injury
I have spent the last year trying to do everything possible with schools, sports clubs and getting him
counselling
. Unfortunately in May this year after having my nose broken I could not continue to support him and he is now currently in care.

Scared
At this point I was given more information, went for
counselling
and haven’t drank since. October I thought I had food poisoning, sickness and diarrhoea for 24 hrs, felt ok the next day until evening and fainted in the bathroom, found myself in icu having a 6 ltr blood transfusion.

Thinking in Circles on Treatment and Medication
Likewise with mental pain, time and considerate
counselling
will be needed to alleviate the depression. We are often asked to express our pain on a 1-10 scale but I contend that this is not really relevant given the reasoning above.

Treatment for perimenopausal symptoms and PBC
I’ve booked a
counselling
appointment through the Australian menopause society who provide support and advice. However, I doubt they will know much about PBC. I’ve found GPs do not know about it either.

Worries are through the roof since BFP 😞
My OH picked up on my sadness last night and after talking it through, we came up with two options…do a POAS test routinely and seek
counselling
. I know I need to break the cycle but I just can’t get there myself. I’ve tried walking but this just gives me more time to think.

Help with my daughter's results please
She has referred her to
counselling
for depression. She is refusing to try self medicating again. To be honest, she's in such a mental fog, she can't think straight any more. Could it be an adrenal issue and not thyroid or as well as? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two Years On - What Treatment?
They offered me one-to-one
counselling
for 10 sessions, which is all they could offer since their other offer was anti-depressants [which make my seizures worse].

Struggling with impact on older children
When I was in hospital after PP last summer, I had amazing
counselling
on offer for me, for my partner, for my bonding with my baby. But, nothing for how my PP episode had impacted my older child. my son, who is now six, started to become very anxious about being left alone.

SLE diagnosis, potential PTSD
more recently I’ve returned to
counselling
due to a decline in my mental health. After about a month of sessions my counsellor started mentioning PTSD and has asked me to fill in an assessment, it’s scarily accurate. Is this something others have experienced?
