I suffer chronic dehydration. My pH is always acidic. My specific gravity is always high and reads I've severe dehydration. I've tried alkalizing drops, dessicated adrenal support and DHEA. And no matter what type (T4, NDT or T3) or dose level of thyroid replacement I take it does not alter. Reading

Just finished my First set of Rituximab infusions. Not as bad as I expected. YEA!
I feel fine except for the increase of
cortisone
which comes with the infusions... I can't wait to get off
cortisone
! Anyway... just a quick note to say it is going very well so far and thanks to all who chimed in for the advice.

Injured for 4 months (Hip Pain/Bursitis)
said poss needed
cortisone
but could only refer me to physio & I should expect approx an 8-12wk wait. So 3wks ago I had my 1st one. He looked at me, said it was probably bursitis and I must not run.

No diagnosis either!
So since then I am dutifully swallowing
Cortisone
and a drug called IMUREK which depresses the Immune system (used in transplants) Now they are sending me to Neurology in an other hospital. I must say, since starting the meds 5 weeks ago I had 2 reasonable and 2 good days.....it felt wonderful!

A BRIEF HISTORY OF RA AND ITS TREATMENT
The year 1955 saw Prednisone, a synthetic off shoot of
cortisone
ushered in and so began the dawn of oral corticosteroid medication. Plaquenil was also introduced as the new anti-malarial drug used to put Rheumatoid Arthritis into remission (remember the Peruvian bark extract used in 1680?

So when I'm about to tell you what has helped me, I must summarize all the efforts I have tried this summer: I had two
cortisone
-injections in the hip by my family-doctor and he told me to take it easy for a little while.

I had a
cortisone
injection in my knee yesterday, and it hardly hurt at all. This morning I feel as though I have a new leg ... it's wonderful! Now I want to trot back to Poole Hospital and have the same in all my other achey bits, but that's probably not allowed.

I've really had enough - what shall I say at my next rheumy appointment?
I have had a bakers cyst too, which after having 4 weeks off work, the necessary drainiing and
cortisone
injection, has decided to come back and i can barely walk again.
