calf and toes cramps
hi everyone, I have been taking steroid prednisolone for a lupus flare up which occurred after covid and now post covid. I have been getting the worst leg cramps and leaves me struggling to even stand up. I read the steroid can deplete your body of potassium so have been having potassium rich foods

Is this PMR?
Seeing GP to have bloods done next week to try to rule out/in PMR Had COVID end of July and improved after 2 weeks a bit but then have been getting hip, shoulder, back pain - really totally exhausted and stiff in the morning and improves as day goes on. Not sure if this is due to COVID or has anyone

Advise please - apologies it’s a 3 year long journey of my infertility and unfortunately my pain
Sorry for the long story. On Saturday 30th July 2022 it marked 3 years since I had my implant taken out. There were 2 reasons for this, firstly I was getting pain and discomfort in my lower abdomen and as I had only had this in for a year I assumed it was because of this. Secondly, my husband and I

COVID Update
After sending in the PCR test on Monday, I finally got approval for Paxlovid and have just received the pills. Is it OK to start taking them in the evening just before meals? The GP originally said I didn't qualify but going a different route through test and trace and the home PCR test kit I managed

Not sure what to think
My nephrologist had oput me on a BP medication -- BP was high and he thought that might bve impacting kidney function. I have been taking the BP meds for about a month. Today I saw my rheumatologist who also had done blood and urine tests (I have Sjogren's). He said everything looks okay but my eGFR

PD Dialysis - Week 5 - Training Day 2
Today, my PD nurse hooked me up and filled me with 1200ml of PD solution 2.5 today and I was to "Dwell" for 4 hours. She checked the TB test she did yesterday and it is looking ok. She also had me to bring my vaccination and immunization records that I keep on a card at home as well as my Covid immunization

The antivirals run around
I tested positive for Covid on July 23rd and 3 days later started an antiviral course without which I must admit I might have ended up in hospital. A clinician from a hospital 20 miles away rang me initially to test my suitability for the drugs which were then delivered by a local delivery service. I

Got in the End
After surviving the pandemic, and following all the rules, I had the jabs and boosters now standing at 5 injections, Covid got me, and I don't recommend it to anybody, but on top of that I had to stop my methotrexate and benepali injections for 2 weeks, and because I was given the anti-viral drug "Paxlovid

Refused PIP
I applied for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) but have been turned down despite having rheumatoid arthritis, long covid and anxiety. This decision is particularly disappointing as when I first applied for it approximately 5 years ago I was awarded 8 points which was 2 points short of being awarded
