How long to wait before having Covid & flu jabs?
Good day. I came out of hospital once again yesterday afternoon, my third admission in less than 2months. Because of this I missed having my flu jab & my Covid booster(my 6th jab). I asked the hospital doctor if I could get them done now but he said no & that I need to wait 6 weeks before getting them

COVID booster severe reaction
Tuesday, 22nd November 2022, 18:30, I received my first ever COVID booster, I got my first COVID job last year? Then I felt I'd been hit by a double decker bus, the symptoms lasted 24 hours, with mild flu like symptoms, sleeping for most of the time, only waking the odd time for a drink to wet my whistle

Vitamin D dosage
Thank you to all those who answered my question about taking a large dose of Vitamin D to avoid covid and other viruses during the winter. I have read them all very carefully and have decided to stick with the dose in my 2 Calcichew per day. I had Covid in August, felt ill, but not terrible for 2 days

UK members - Act now to stop the proposed withdrawal of vital COVID medicines!
Harvist and others reported a few days ago the announcement by NICE of a cull in the various COVID medicines approved for NHS use. As a result, the options for treating immunocompromised individuals with COVID soon after symptoms appear, thereby avoiding progression, would be reduced to just one antiviral

Covid & flu vaccinations
Good morning all, Just had an appointment through from doctor’s pharmacy requesting attendance for both vaccinations. Read a few stories of people with MSA have experienced breathing problems after having their injections. Anyone experienced this or suffered no reactions to the vaccinations? I suffered

Could having had COVID be related to hypothyroidism? Maybe.
According to this new study, 20% get some form of long COVID and "MRI imaging found a significant difference in the region of the brain associated with coordinating with the endocrine system to release hormones. " The thyroid is an endocrine gland. i.e. could having had COVID be related to hypothyroidism

Covid booster and aching joints
I had my Covid booster Number 6 (I am on Imraldi and steroids for my RA) about 3-4 weeks ago and ever since have been feeling tired and my whole body aches, just wondering if anyone else has suffered symptoms after the jabs. I am reluctant to have any more if I am going to feel like this.

Husband with PD hospitalised with uti infection
I'm worried sick about my husband, he became very unsteady on his feet, couldn't stand up, couldn't walk his speech changed dramatically to a tiny whisper he just can't make himself heard. This all happened in the space of a couple of weeks his neuro suggested a UTI and he was started on antibiotics

Methotrexate Cessation after contracting covid
Hello everyone… I tested positive for Covid this morning and have fairly manageable symptoms… just a headache and sore throat. But… I am due to take 15ml of Methotrexate today so should I stop the methotrexate for a week to let my immune system try and clear this. I’ve had three vaccinations but never

Thanksgiving Gathering Cancelled - Covid (again) hits our Family.. Uggh
Well good news n bad news … The good news is our family members have been testing for covid prior to meeting with my wife n I (we both have cancer) for quite sometime now. That’s a good thing to do, cus previous covid positive tests have stopped a few prior gatherings from happening (we end up doing

COVID & Flu jab with morning sickness whilst pregnant
Hi. I am just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.I am 8 weeks pregnant and started having mild nausea last week which has been very very steadily building. Sort of felt like car sickness with a nasty taste in my mouth and aversions to certain food. On Saturday I had my double jab I tried

Is it stress or gut issues?
After being felled by the flu and covid vaccines, and then 14 days later getting covid, as well as a fair amount of 'big events' happening at the same time I am still struggling. I am now only 16 days post testing negative for covid but my mental health absolutely tanked while I had covid and I'm improved

A question about post Covid
I have been advised that I have long Covid. My GP said that when I feel a bit better to start to do some graded activity. I am miles off running at the moment but wondered whether to try following the C25k program but alternate slow and faster walks. I thought it might provide a structure to follow.

Long Covid OCD
For almost all of the pandemic I was pretty reasonable, I think, about safety precautions. I got both doses of the vaccine, I got a booster, I followed the recommendations for masks, etc. Recently however, I made a decision to meet a friend which was, I’ll say for the purposes of this post, less than
