Birth control
Hello everyone. So I recently got birth control. I was told to start it the Sunday after I started my period. So I got my period (I think) but it only lasted a day. I started the birth control and I’m on say 3 and I have severe cramps. Like as if I would be on my period. I’m not sure what it is. Is this

Taking hormone pills with Hashimotos
I’ve always avoided the contraceptive pill with my thyroid issue, I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do. I recently had an appointment with an endocrinologist, due to chronic insomnia, which I suspect is due to my low cortisol and low DHEA. She hasn’t confirmed as yet her proposed treatment plan

Support for teenage sufferer
I’m 18, and began having problems with periods all of a sudden. In a house full of pcos warriors I was the only one with ‘normal periods’ until one cycle lasted for just under 8 weeks. Heavy bleeding, clots, soiling school chairs, missing lessons, consipation, sleepless nights and pain… every time I

Normal tsh Low T4
Hi guys! I have always had a bit of an odd thyroid tbh. It’s done what I’m told it cant, but there you go. Years ago I remember just before going into surgery they found my thyroid to be under active. Never treated. I think it went back to normal. About 5 years later it went over active. Never treated

Desogestral experiences
I’m on day 22 of starting Desogestral (mini pill) and my pain is just as bad. I have stage 3 endo and awaiting a third laparoscopy. I am bleeding heavier than without being on the pill and just feeling rubbish. I could literally sleep anywhere right now, is this normal? I’m in two minds about stopping

T3 and DIO2 gene.
Hello folks! I have the following doubt: Does FT3 get lower in ALL patients on Levo alone, or just in a special sub-group? In other words, does the fact of taking the pill lower the Ft3 level, so that EVERYONE ends up with a lower t3 than in healthy individuals? Thanks!!

Contraceptive Pill ( mini pill) or surgery.
Hi ladies, In November 2021, I had a laparscorpy surgery removal of left ovary cyst. Two weeks after surgery I had a MRI scan. On Monday 28th February 2022, I had a consultation appointment call from a gynecologist consultant. Firstly she called me an hour late, findings from the laparscorpy surgery

I am currently suspected of endometriosis and PCOS. I have been put on all types of contraceptives over the years to ease symptoms but find it only works for short time before they return. Appointment with Gynae- who clearly wasn’t interested
Just had an appointment with a private gynaecology dept via the NHS. Honestly I felt like the guy wasn’t all that interested, he barely even asked me my symptoms, he didn’t even ask how bad or where my pain was , he told me I had adenomyosis from an internal exam and then basically said there is no cure

Trying to get pregnant
Hi, Sorry it’s a long one. So I’ve just been discharged from the endometriosis clinic for now as I’m trying off birth control as been in it since I was 16yr and 26 this year and I’d like to start a family. My symptoms so far are manageable although I believe I get sciatic because of my endo now as

Need advice!
I got diagnosed when I was 18, but because I wasn’t interested in children at that time, it basically got swept under the rug and I stayed on
contraception
to help my periods and acne. I am now 26, and I’m wanting to start a family.

Ibs after sex?
I've had IBS for around 8 years (I'm 28). I didn't have sex with my long term ex boyfriend as birth control didn't agree with me and I'm very diligent about it in general. Recently, however, after over a month of seeing someone new, we've started to sleep together. We had sex for around fifteen minutes
