I've been on birth control since last year November, my periods have been irregular ever since, I'd spot everyday sometimes the periods are just light so I decided to stop 4 days ago my period is so heavy now with clots how long does it take for the bleeding to stop? And what can I do to prevent blood loss?

Hi, why sort of birth control were you in was it the mini pill? I bled constantly on that… it maybe just wasn’t right for you and now your body is getting rid of the excess hormones… you would be best seeing your doctor for advice or a gynaecologist. Clots can be normal when the flow is heavy but if they last for longer than seven days then best get it checked out and also get some iron supplement’s 💕the doctors can usually give you a tablet called tranexamic acid which you can take on the days the bleeding is heavy. This helps control it xxx
