I am currently suspected of endometriosis and PCOS. I have been put on all types of contraceptives over the years to ease symptoms but find it only works for short time before they return. Migraines, acne and pain and heavy bleeding have gotten worse over the years. Gynaecology team are disregarding my concerns when i meet with them. Saying a month long period every month is better and that problems with coil are psychological but haven't checked me and to meet next time to discuss laproscopy and that" ill grow out of it". I have been discussing laproscopy for 2 years now and i know coil isn't working for me. Really fed up of turning to my gynaecologist when i am at rock bottom with periods/side effects and being not listened to.

I suspect your Gynae doesn’t have the right training. They need to have done extra training in endo which will be listed as a special interest in endo. With heavy bleeding it maybe that it’s adenomyosis which is where endo affects the actual muscle of the uterus. An mri or ultrasound by a specialist in detecting endo may be more likely to show up adeno than a lap. The uterus is often described as looking bulky. And as well as the heavy bleeding it can cause pain and bloating.
That is probably the case. Healthcare services are limited where i'm from and suppose i am able to see them more frequently however, with moving away for university if i was to transfer to a clinic that does have endo specialised staff they had said it would be nearly a years wait. I know from my own research my blood test from PCOS shouldnt have been completed whilst i was still on a hormal contraceptive and that issues that i am having from coil should been seen to. I am experiencing all symptoms that you have mentioned its just having the services for mri or endo specialised person in my clinic and listening to my concerns.
