I got a kidney!!!! Thank God
I was told today I have kidney waiting and my surgery date is the 12th of June barring and problems. I am so happy I am getting my life back. I want to jump out of my skin I'm so happy. I pray it works out cause dialysis was wearing me down. I hate going there.

Hi everyone, I'm new on here and writing for my mom. She is 59 years old and just recently diagnosed with CKD. Her labs came back on 5/13/2019 with a GFR of 8 and Creatinine of 5.17. Her Neuphrologist referred her for more labs and a Renal Ultrasound. I just got back the Renal Ultrasound results and

Hi guys
Hi I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm a mum of 3 and my 2 boys now age 16 and 15 have both had double transplants . The younger one had liver and kidney aged 25 months and the older one had 2 liver transplants 9 months later aged 4.5 years. This is due to primary hyperoxaluria type one and oxalosis

Sleep apnoea and RLS
My hematologist has recommended I go back to the respiratory and sleep physician for a review of my sleep apnoea. About 5 years ago he dismissed me after losing 30 kilos and didn't need the CPAP machine any longer as it had improved so much. He wonders if Sleep apnoea has a bearing on my RL. Any comments

Feeling sad after transplant - (I'm new here)
Hi, this is my first post so I hope this is the right place to ask something like this. I had a transplant almost 5 months ago and thought I would be super happy by now, especially after a year on dialysis. Instead I've been feeling quite sad and kind of like I'm in a rut. I'm a young college student

Good news
It has been one year since I first saw my renal dietician and met with the nephrologist. She said back then to prepare for dialysis within six months. I had been progressively declining monthly. Went from stage 3 to 4 within a short time. I am so thrilled to report my labs today from the last three

Is vasculitis life threatening?
My husband suffers with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and this has got worse over the last 3 years such that he has had 2 spinal operations and now uses a manual wheelchair outside of the home. We went abroad just before Xmas and whilst I was sunbathing he was in thermals so I took him to the Dr when
