Should I get MMR vaccine?
Hi, I take a preventer (flutiform) every day and night and blue one for emergencies. I generally get 2-3 infections a year which require either hospital visit or nebuliser with course of antibiotics and oral steroids. Being in my 40’s I don’t believe I ever got the Mmr shot and measles seems to be

Transcutaneous electrical stimulation unit
Has anybody had a chance to use a TENS unit? Transcutaneous electrical stimulation does something to the muscles which is supposed to help with pain of all kinds. I've got one on right now and it definitely does something to the restless, horrible, creepy feeling but I'm not sure if I'll be able to

TAPERING - CAUGHT BETWEEN THE 'DEVIL' AND THE 'DEEP BLUE SEA'
Greetings Everyone I realise I am raising again possibly 'THE' (most) perennial' question we tackle here on the forum - that of the speed at which to taper. My particular problem - which I have mentioned here recently is that i have developed a rather insidious side effect of pred which I was not really

How do you keep busy mentally, physically, socially etc... to help manage loneliness, self-worth?
This has been a big test of of character I’m sure for all of us. I’ve tried to find ways to stay active mentally and all other ways to beat depression, loneliness and self-worth! What do you do on good days? On bad days? On good days, I try and do the things I love! I listen to music, sing along!

Unable to sleep
Hello friends. Poor sleep quality is getting to me. I go to bed tired but am unable to get off to sleep for hours...Last night I only had about one hour. The quality of sleep is also not the same. It's a very superficial sort of sleep, unsatisfying and restless. I take 13 mg of pred in the morning and

Opioids
I have been off pramipexole for close to two weeks. Then my (new) neurologist started me on carbadopa levodopa which caused extreme anxiety so only took for 4 days. I’m totally miserable. I am wondering what opioids are used and how much. I’m trying to gather information for doctors. Also, does

One more step closer to our dream.
We had an appointment today with the nurse in our clinic. We have decided to go with the CGT screening and will hopefully have it done in Spain when we go in Sept for my partner to 'deposit' his sample. The nurse thinks it could be cheaper over there 👍 My partner needs his blood tests to have been done

Tried EVERYTHING, and now...
EVERYTHING means just that, medication, body work, head trips...Just returned from a trip to Johns Hopkins Hospital where a Dr. Paul Allen's research showed excess glutamate in the thalamus of the brain is the etiology of the pathology of WED. Very SADLY the treatment from JHH is more pharmaceuticals

Hi there, I’ve recently been prescribed Glyceryl Trinitrate (Deponit) patches & Hydroxychloroquine (tablets) for my limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis after various previous meds not working. Has anyone else used these? Any success? Many thanks in advance for your replies 😊
