Concussion or more serious head injury? Please help!
Went to several doctors who told me all of it was just emotional shock and that I might have had a mild
concussion
, but that it was a temporary injury that would clear in around 3 weeks or so. I phoned Headway, who told me the same thing.

Paralyzing life circumstance? What did you do...?
I fall off my bike, get robbed often, get a
concussion
, etc. etc. I feel so alone and isolated. And I seriously lack a stable, familiar support network. Difficult to be with old friends because my life has come to a serious halt as of now.

The Winter wardrobe is now in use
Not having lived here as a child, and having managed to get a
concussion
after slipping on the ice shortly after I moved here, I don't do very well on ice. But the Icebugs let me move safely. They're so good, I've even bought Icebug boots for everyday use.

Discussion: Concussion in the Medical Community and Society
This is a topic I have been wanting to write about since I suffered from a mild
concussion
in June of this year. I believe that medical and societal views towards
concussion
need to change in order for patients to receive higher quality medical treatment from GPs and nurses.

Brain damage from concussion
In 2010 i had a severe
concussion
with a small internal bleeding which of course didn't necessitate medecine or surgery because it was too small!

Neurofeedback 'brain training' for TBI?
I read something about this last year when I was suffering during the acute phase of my mTBI and post
concussion
syndrome, and wondered if anyone had ever had this? If so, is it effective, and can you recommend it? Or is it one of those treatments that is overrated and under-researched?

Not sure if my symptoms are physical or psychological, haven't really received a diagnosis from medical professionals. Please help!
Do you think my symptoms are the result of a
concussion
or do you think I have PTSD? Am I just worrying about nothing?

Struggling with head injury, post concussion syndrome symptoms, drug induced movement disorder and depression
Hi there I've posted before on other health forums about my drug-induced movement disorder from antipsychotic drugs, tardive dyskinesia, following being prescribed meds for post
concussion
syndrome after my mild traumatic brain injury / cognitive difficulties.

Better treatment of PCS
of post
concussion
syndrome? From my own experience and reading about others, GPs don't know that there are specialists to refer patients to. We're just told that it will get better, rest and take painkillers. For my own referral to a neuropsychologist, the NHS waiting list was 16 weeks.

Difficult to accept this is anxiety
Hey everyone, So I had been doing well for a couple weeks and had been feeling better; but this past weekend I had a cold, had been recovering from a
concussion
and had been worried about a recurrent DVT even though I just had an ultrasound a week and a half ago that came up perfect.

Yikes what a month !!
Ended up with a
concussion
and whip lash. Also had facet injections that did not go as well as the doc was hoping. I am not sure if I made my back issue worse but it is sure hurting on the side I landed on. I am hoping WCB will pay my lost wages but not sure yet.

Blank mind / altered mental state, lack of thoughts and visual imagination (aphantasia) caused by TBI and psychtropic meds
I'm serious when I say that the head injury and post
concussion
syndrome set off a cascade of these cognitive effects, and once my brain fog had dissipated, the brain damage (it seemed to me) was exacerbated by the neuroleptic.

Bad Mummy?
I have fatigue due to post
concussion
syndrome. I'm struggling to get my son to do anything other than watch TV/YouTube or play on the iPad. I don't have the energy to fight with him or drag him out to a museum. I feel like a bad mummy for giving in to his screen addiction.

Strategies to move forwards after head injury
My last (long) post on here was a brief explanation about my mTBI and post
concussion
syndrome, its impact on my life, and the wretched combination of living with cognitive deficits and a drug-induced movement disorder (tardive dyskinesia).

Frustrations of the sick and injured.
I have had really bad
concussion
problems that won't let up. I have had two paid chiropractor treatments since the collision of two weeks ago. Not a car accident. The NHS has gone on holiday in my case. My doctors don't want to do anything.
