Radiation Proctitis - what medication have you been prescribed?
Hi all, I wanted to know if anyone has been prescribed meds for help with radiation proctitis (mines is mainly in the rectum and large intestine area). My colonoscopy showed severe inflammation and bleeding (although this has subsided a lot!). Every so often the inflammation flares up, I get very sore

Have you had a bowel resection or were you at risk of one?? Please read. ♥️ 💛 So, nearly 26 years of extreme period pain, bleeding heavily, anaemia and impact on life.. was finally heard in 2017 when my endometrioma showed up and caused enough pain (so we knee stage 4 endometriosis). Prior to this

Sensitive to mould and damp
Since the past few months I have been severely unwell. It started bystaying at my parents house, where the ceiling had collapsed due to water damage from rain and ongoing work. One day I woke up with gasping for air, allergy symptoms, nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, brain fog and sensitivity to light

Really scared
I have had problems with my bowel since August. I had a Colonoscopy recently and they found, and removed, a polyp. Since then, I am still having violent diarrhoea and this morning I noticed that when I wiped my bum, my poo was almost black. Has anyone else had this, and if so, what happened? Thanks

Colonoscopy at 19
Hi everyone. I’m 19. I’m getting a Colonoscopy tomorrow but I’m freaking out. Not exactly over the procedure itself but more so for the results. I’m scared of getting diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I know my demographic for it is very low. Honestly I wasn’t even the one who asked for the procedure. I guess

Looking forward to my next colonoscopy.
I just had my regular colonoscopy. Everything is fine. I don’t have to have another one for five years. I’m actually looking forward to it because if I have it that’ll mean I’ve survived another five years. I’m looking forward to many more colonoscopies. It’s interesting how PCa changes one’s perspective

Hi all.. I've finally got my colonoscopy results no inflammation in the colon and the consultant has out down ulcers to the bowel prep. Is it normal to have periods where you have 0 appetite? That's my biggest concern really.

I'm new here, unfortunately. :)
Hello, I had colon cancer in 1993, with surgery for resection, radiation and chemotherapy. Clear colonoscopies ever since. Successfully removed melanoma from left ear in 2005. I was diagnosed in early October (2021) with prostate cancer. After a series of reports, an MRI, bone scan, and CT scan,

Pain and Rumbling
I've had a lot of tummy rumbling and loose stools lately. I get a lot of wind too. Today I've got a hard pain in my lower left side. It comes every now and again. I do have Celiac disease and I avoid Lactose. I haven't eaten anything I shouldn't have. Now I'm getting worried in case it's something

IBS-D & yeast/candida connection?
37 M here. I've always been prone to toenail fungus and jock itch. In 2008 I was finally put on a long course (6 months) of antibiotics to treat the toenails. Shortly afterwards in 2009 I wen through a very stressful legal battle and began to have digestion issues -loose bowels, having to run to bathroom

DNA test
Are stool DNA tests accurate? I’ve been having troubles completing bowl preparations for colonoscopy. I’ve had a flexible sigmoidoscopy and abdominal ultrasound and blood tests all come back 100% normal (except a hemorrhoid) I’m wondering if a stool test would be an okay test to do. I’m 24 and symptoms
