Hi everyone. I’m 19. I’m getting a Colonoscopy tomorrow but I’m freaking out. Not exactly over the procedure itself but more so for the results. I’m scared of getting diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I know my demographic for it is very low. Honestly I wasn’t even the one who asked for the procedure. I guess the main symptom I’m so worried about is Flat stools and a bit of blood (not constant but events that happened, which were about 2-3 events). I’m honestly just scared for tomorrow cause it’s either make or break.

Hello! I was having the exact same thoughts when I got mine done. I'm 26 now, but I got my procedure when I was 24. I was having the same symptoms and turns out I had hemriods with a combination of anxiety caused by thinking I had colon cancer. My advise is just relax get the procedure over with and chances are you're very likely to not have anything wrong besides possibly hemeroids as well. No point in stressing yourself out without discussing results with your doctor. Also the procedure is very quick and painless. Once you wake up do not get out of the bed for at least 10 minutes. I made that mistake and almost fell due to the anesthesia lol. I wish the best for you!
