Continued worsening of my GI symptoms in spite of treatment by a dozen GI specialists. Anyone else have had a similar experience?
Hello! I just joined the IBS Network in the hope that someone in the forum have had similar experience and learn from their approach to dealing with it. I started having GI issues about a year and half ago. Started with having abdominal pain followed by sudden change in my BM pattern of several decades

Sodium Butyrate is healing me!
I’ve suffered with IBD for 24 years and at last I have my symptoms under control, in fact I am recovering. After such a long time it is life changing for me. My recovery started with eating LoFodmap foods which gave my digestion a much needed rest, then after considerable research I stumbled across Sodium

I have recently been diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver, I have not been given the results of my Fribroscan, blood test, Colonoscopy etc. I have contacted the hospital and the consultant who carried out the above procedures. Heard nothing back as yet. My question is are we supposed to have a liver

Colonoscopy/tests normal but still having issues
I’ve been having GI issues for 6 months. Constipation (but stool is pretty soft), a constant urge to have a bowel movement but having one takes a lot of effort, mucus in my stool (but no blood). I had a blood test and ultrasound done, both were normal. I then had a colonoscopy, which came back normal

I was diagnosed with IBS several years ago and had the usual investigations , colonoscopy, ultrasound etc - all clear. The condition did improve but has recently come back with a vengeance. Main symptoms - gripe on waking and urgent visit to the toilet. Pain after bowel movement and sometimes a second

Diverticulitis
I have recently had on going problems with Diverticulitis. After losing blood and suffering the usual problems I had a CT scan and Colonoscopy. Luckily they did,nt find cancer but I am still in trouble with constipation. Problems in the small bowel because of scarring and narrowing. Most of the preparations

Radiation Proctitis - what medication have you been prescribed?
Hi all, I wanted to know if anyone has been prescribed meds for help with radiation proctitis (mines is mainly in the rectum and large intestine area). My colonoscopy showed severe inflammation and bleeding (although this has subsided a lot!). Every so often the inflammation flares up, I get very sore

Severe Endometriosis, Hysterectomy and Bowel Resection
Have you had a bowel resection or were you at risk of one?? Please read. ♥️ 💛 So, nearly 26 years of extreme period pain, bleeding heavily, anaemia and impact on life.. was finally heard in 2017 when my endometrioma showed up and caused enough pain (so we knee stage 4 endometriosis). Prior to this

Sensitive to mould and damp
Since the past few months I have been severely unwell. It started bystaying at my parents house, where the ceiling had collapsed due to water damage from rain and ongoing work. One day I woke up with gasping for air, allergy symptoms, nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, brain fog and sensitivity to light
