Just wondering if any one has this problem as I find it quite embarrassing and don’t go out much because of it had a colonoscopy in 2018 and had a polyp removed was there in my last one I had few years prior so it was removed and tested all good but this leaky bowel is a nightmare I have a large pile which doesn’t help like trying to push back in as I feel may be this is why surgeon said can’t cut it off other wise it would be worse.

Sorry to hear that you are going through this. Have you heard of sacral nerve modulation? It’s a small implant that can help a leaky bowel. It involves some surgery and a two week trail see if it would work for you as it does not work for everyone. Good luck
Yes, I've had this for the last 4 weeks, since I had a full bowel clearance, then a week later inadvertently ate something with chilli jam in! Started my IBS off again and haven't had a regular looking bowel movement since. Just soft, fluffy poohs or squishy and it leaks out. Have been wearing a pad and have to be careful about bending. I was taking two sachets of Fybogel a day and wondered if this was aggravating it.
Hi I'm male in the UK and have this problem. After seeing a hospital consultant and a examination I was prescribed bisacodyl to totally empty my bowels.
It's a terrible thing to have, and I totally understand your problem.
Try looking at You tube - Jessica Valant videos on pelvic floor exercises. She explains them very well. I had always thought it was just Kegel exercises, but it is not and is a bit more complicated. I think her exercises would help for bowel leakage, although it might take time.
Bless you. I feel for you as I have a bowel leakage problem myself. Grateful for your posting as at least I dont feel alone about it. Waiting to see consultant. Something like 10 months to go!
