Hi, 30 yo M here. Recently I've been having stomach aches that feel like sharp pains in my lower belly, most commonly on one side, along with unusual fatigue and sleepiness. I've also noticed small black dots in my stool, but I'm not sure if they're the kind that people talk about when they refer to

Anti spasm tablets
I have been advised after a colonoscopy that I have diverticula which from time to time flare up and cause pretty painful stomach cramps. I’m on 50mg flecainide twice a day and 1.25mg of bisoprolol once a day. Does anyone know if the anti spasm drugs available over the counter interfere, interact or

Lots of Mucus in stool
Hi All, For the past month I have had more than usual mucus in my stool. My stool is firm and comes in "balls" not smooth. I try to drink as much water as possible. I also have a dull pain/unfcomfortable feeling sometimes, just below the right rib cage. Blood work turned out great, no issues. No blood

IBS and weight loss
Hello,I am new to the site. Diagnosed with IBS some 20 years ago, I do not have all of the symptoms; no pain, no cramp, tommy swelling just constipation without pain. Family and friends would say I have a healthy diet and cook with little or no processed foods. My stomach does not like too much fibre

Blood and Mucus in stool
Hi, I'm F21. I had a colonoscopy a year ago, which indicated colitis and proctitis. I've had bleeding mixed with my stool before the colonoscopy and it is now a year later and I still have bleeding. It is starting to get worse, accompanied with a bloody mucus jelly. It hasn't stopped, after trying meds

Bleeding and mucus, I’m so scared.
I’ve been bleeding from my rectum off and on for months. I know I have hemorrhoids because they flare up sometimes. Recently I’ve been having blood stained bowels and some small clots with bleeding when I strain. Went to the doctor today and he did an exam. Said he sees internal hemorrhoids and thinks

Occasional rectal bleeding (graphic picture)
Hi all, I am new here but as many of those who post, I am also loosing my mind. So I've had this issue for over a decade (32yrs old now) where I notice red blood or small clots in the stool. Recently, it has been more prominent and past Monday, it felt like something popped - the end result, toilet

I have constant tummy growling loud banging noises with gurgles bubbles. Quite embarrassing at times. Colonoscopy year ago found a tubular polyp with low grade dysplasia. Loose stools or constipation. On numerous meds for all kind of reasons. It scares me alot as i always think of worst.

Really worry about itðŸ˜.
My rectal bleeding started from early September, and I didn't care that time. But the symptom still exist until now, and during the period, my stools got thinner, my weight reduce with no habit of diet and exercise changed, and I always feel tummy pain and burning recently. My GP hadn't felt piles in

hi all, I'm having a gastroscopy and colonoscopy on Friday, not sure what they are looking for (had a letter to report to GP after giving blood donation saying iron levels low) not looking forward to it I have transport available -- should I take the option of sedation?

Question about CKD and having a colonoscopy
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with CKD Stage 2. I am also scheduled to have a colonoscopy in December. I am scared that the laxative solution and the phosphate enema that I have to take as part of preparing for the colonoscopy will damage my kidneys even more than they already are. I am also worried

Prep for Colonoscopy.
Thanks to everyone that replied to my post. This was my second colonoscopy, and I agree that the prep the day before was the most horrible experience. It really seems to knock me about and last time it took over a week to get my body back to a normal rhythm. Incidentally it was the day after my first

Colonoscopy and endoscopy.
Today I had both my colonoscopy and endoscopy, and I must say that having them was a lot less harrowing than I thought it would be. My appointment I was 8.30 am and I was home by 11 o’clock. I think everything went ok, they removed a 3cm polyp just in side my rectum, they took biopsy’s but the said all
