Thanks to everyone that replied to my post. This was my second colonoscopy, and I agree that the prep the day before was the most horrible experience. It really seems to knock me about and last time it took over a week to get my body back to a normal rhythm. Incidentally it was the day after my first procedure that I found out about my HF. I had been having problems for some time, but since having my device fitted I feel much better.

Hello
Did you also have to change what you ate a few days before the prep and if so how did you find that easy to do as I believe it is quite bland
I am really pleased having your device fitted has made you feel so much better x

yes I did have to change my diet for three days, on the Sunday before the procedure I couldn’t eat anything at all. I think because of the anemia I don’t have much of an appetite anyway, so it wasn’t to bad.
Hello
It is good then on this occasion that you do not have much of an appetite
You did really well though x
Hi, I had two Colonoscopies over a 6 week period in April/May, the prep stuff was disgusting.
For the first one, I had been hospitalised for over a week by then, but, they were quite happy feeding me as normal until 12pm on the day before, then food was basically stopped. As part of the procedure I had to swallow a mini bullet-camera which meant no food for a further 6 hours afterwards. The nurses were having a late night takeaway delivered so kindly bought me Chicken/Chips.
Then I had to do it all again a few weeks later.
