Sounds like it could be your thyroid that's the problem here

I had the colonoscopy just over two years ago. To be honest your not in any pain after it. If you have gas and air to ease the discomfort whilst your having it done then you will only feel abit dizzy until it wears off.You will only feel the pushing and pulling while its been done. It does feel strange because inside of you there's a sensation of movement but nothing to worry about.Just take the prep and just ask for the gas and air for pain relief and you will be fine. Don't worry. If your like me that doesn't like needles then I just wanted to say they may have to put a cannula in your hand or arm just as a precaution. Good Luck.

The prep the night before is the worst bit. I was under general anaesthetic. Didn't feel a thing unlike a previous one when I was awake and screaming! No problems after on both occasions in fact my guts felt good to be empty.

I’ve just read pain and bloating for days even weeks after on the forum. I can’t pass gas out I can’t fart basically- so usually I have a colonic weekly to help get it out . I think I might try cancel

Why would you want to cancel? If you don't go through with the procedure you will be on tender hooks not knowing what it is and also not knowing if it is treatable. I think you're better off going through with it and seeing what if anything is found. If you don't then it would playing on your mind. I understand your fears but you can get through it. There is pain relief out there should you need it and eventually it will wear off.
