Redundant colon anyone?
Two years ago I started my hydroxycarbamide regimen for ET and at the time I was a sveldt 54 kg. Now 2 years down the track not only have a added 5 kg to that number, but have adopted a 'balloon' belly, which is uncomfortably bloated. Thankfully there is no pain. My specialist is not keen to change

Getting constantly dismissed and still under investigations
I've had a
colonoscopy
, endoscopy and a gastroscopy to be told by my gastro specialist that its not gastro related which I already knew. Ive had 2 ultrasounds and both showed cysts on the ovaries, one side had haemorrhagic cysts the other normal small cysts.

colonoscopy Update done today
before I start I want to encourage anyone on this site to get your
colonoscopy
! Don’t wait. For me I had gotten bad news. I’m still numb. The
colonoscopy
when fine overall. But the results shocked me. Doctor found a huge 23 cm mass in my sigmoid colon. I’m was not expecting that at all.

Colonoscopy Prep
This will be my third
colonoscopy
. Both of my maternal grandparents had colon cancer so I started at age 45 and go every 5 years. My prep consists of Dulcolax and Miralax mixed with sports drinks. One 238 gram bottle of miralax with 64 ounces of sport drink. Has anyone else done this prep?

Adhesions?
On Friday, I had a
colonoscopy
as I am still suffering with symptoms from my UC flare. I have had a few of these in the past and though unpleasant, with sedation I have been able to see the procedure through.

just want some advice…
Hi, not really sure what I’m wanting or expecting here, just want some advice or to hear from someone who’s been through a similar situation. so had my
colonoscopy
yesterday. They only gave me a half dose of sedative due to the asthma and breathing problems, but it was fine. I’d say uncomfortable with occasional dull pain and easy to cope with.

Positive FIT, Negative Colonoscopy and Endoscopy but very Anaemic
They found I had blood in my stool as I had a positive FIT result of 34 but when I had a
colonoscopy
and endoscopy they couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone else had similar? Thanks!

35 mm polyp removed
My son had a 35mm polyp removed from his sigmoid colon today during his
colonoscopy
. The gi took it out in one piece. If he got it out that should be it right? I know we have to wait on the path report but I’m concerned with the size but if it’s pre cancer contained in the polyp he should be good?

Microscopic colitis
My question is this, with so many sufferers around, a lot undiagnosed (a
colonoscopy
alone is not enough, there needs to be biopsies taken since, speaking personally, my large intestine appeared to be perfectly healthy) might it be an idea to start a forum dealing with microscopic colitis, and if so,

Diverticular management
Back in 2020 a
colonoscopy
discovered a diverticular (a kind of pouch in the wall of my large intestine) during the diagnostic phase before I started chemo-radiotherapy for anal cancer. It’s been grumbling along since then, giving me occasional left sided discomfort.

calprotectin levels of over 2000 and positive FIT test!
I’ve been referred now under 2 week wait so expect I’ll need a
colonoscopy
. I’m scared it’s bowel cancer even though I’ve been told calprotectin levels of that levels are usually IBD and bowel cancer are usually mildly elevated. Any advice while I’m anxiously waiting would be appreciated!

Ectopics and Digestive Difficulties
The intestinal clearing process with laxatives the day before the
colonoscopy
procedure always seems to trigger the ectopic heartbeats and during one procedure the gastroenterologist almost decided not to perform the procedure because I was in Atrial Fibrillation (Afib).

Crohn's for 2 years, calprotectin low symptoms returned
Colonoscopy
was clear , but when we did capsule endoscopy on the last part of the small intestine 7 small ulcers were found. Current therapy is 6MP. I was doing great for few months , but then all of sudden some symptoms returned (I was eating everything even some lactose) .

Scared of diagnosis
Surgeon said also diverticulitis found, now on Cipro & metronidazole and have follow up Tuesday to schedule exploratory
colonoscopy
. Of course like an idiot I relied on WebMD and Google and have made myself terrified by what I’ve read.
