Simoidoscopy
Im nervous about this as I had a
colonoscopy
years ago and for whatever reason the sedation didn't work at all even though they gave me more. They are trying to decide whether to sedate me or not. Also how long will I need off work afterwards? Im absolutely dreading this.

Fed up!
So I was all mentally prepared to have my
colonoscopy
tomorrow. Have gone through the 2 days of low residue diet too. Now had to cancel my appointment as I appear to be allergic to the Moviprep.

Any tips for relief?
After a positive FIT test I was referred for an urgent endoscopy and
colonoscopy
. Nothing of any importance was found, I came off the lansoprazole and actually started to slowly recover. Fast forward to 8 weeks ago and I got a tummy bug followed by a UTI.

High fit test and now visible bleeding
I’m now booked in for a
colonoscopy
on Thursday. I’ve started to get quite bad upper abdomen pain and feel like I’m bloated all the time in this last week. I’m not sure if I’m stressing myself out and making myself worse.

Need for colonoscopy when taking Eliquis (I don't advise reading this while having breakfast)
Our GP told me that this is probably related to me taking Eliquis and is probably not serious if I don't have other symptoms but I need to have a
colonoscopy
just to be sure. This is booked for next month. I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar experience.

Colonoscopy Prep
I just took the Sutab prep for my
colonoscopy
and it was a breeze. I highly recommend it. No more horrible stuff to drink. Just take 12 pills and drink 48 ounces of water at night before and again in the morning.

Has anyone experienced interrupting Actemra for a general anaesthetic?
I heard today that I have an appointment for a routine, 3-yearly,
colonoscopy
in 13 days time and I will see the anaesthetist on Monday. In France colonoscopies are always done with GA and usually it's a 10-15 minute procedure and you wake up as soon as it is finished.

Rectal bleeding monthly and had bowel resection?
He has written to my gp and suggests i have a
colonoscopy
to check i dont have anyone other issues causing the bleed. But he thinks its more than likely endo/hormone related as it only happens on my periodm I am on an urgent list for a
colonoscopy
ans MRI scan.

Redundant colon anyone?
Two years ago I started my hydroxycarbamide regimen for ET and at the time I was a sveldt 54 kg. Now 2 years down the track not only have a added 5 kg to that number, but have adopted a 'balloon' belly, which is uncomfortably bloated. Thankfully there is no pain. My specialist is not keen to change

diagnosis and symptoms
I have had an endoscopy and
colonoscopy
- both normal and no signs of gastritis, no reflux, no h pylori. My question is - if PA is end stage autoimmune gastritis - how do I have normal scopes and no GI issues? I also recently tested positive for Hashimoto’s as well.

Adhesions?
On Friday, I had a
colonoscopy
as I am still suffering with symptoms from my UC flare. I have had a few of these in the past and though unpleasant, with sedation I have been able to see the procedure through.

Microscopic colitis
My question is this, with so many sufferers around, a lot undiagnosed (a
colonoscopy
alone is not enough, there needs to be biopsies taken since, speaking personally, my large intestine appeared to be perfectly healthy) might it be an idea to start a forum dealing with microscopic colitis, and if so,

Getting constantly dismissed and still under investigations
I've had a
colonoscopy
, endoscopy and a gastroscopy to be told by my gastro specialist that its not gastro related which I already knew. Ive had 2 ultrasounds and both showed cysts on the ovaries, one side had haemorrhagic cysts the other normal small cysts.

Hi, not really sure what I’m wanting or expecting here, just want some advice or to hear from someone who’s been through a similar situation. People of HealthUnlocked: My Son – A Crohn’s Warrior
We looked at the images of his endoscopy and
colonoscopy
and absolutely fell apart. We learned that Crohn’s is a chronic disease that causes inflammation in the digestive tract, resulting in diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and abdominal pain.

colonoscopy Update done today
before I start I want to encourage anyone on this site to get your
colonoscopy
! Don’t wait. For me I had gotten bad news. I’m still numb. The
colonoscopy
when fine overall. But the results shocked me. Doctor found a huge 23 cm mass in my sigmoid colon. I’m was not expecting that at all.
