I have cramps, aches, tightness on the left side just to the left of the navel. Any advice on what could help? Tried colofac, colpermin & buscopan. Seem to want to go to toilet a lot. No diarrhoea. Seem to be losing a lot of weight. Any constructive advice would be appreciated. Many thanks Andrew

Hi, I find buscopan, de-gas and peppermint tea can help me. Also limiting certain foods that i find trigger my symptoms. Have you tried any elimination diets or the 'fodmap' diet- ? You might start to find certain foods set the pains off. Also it could get worse on different days or times of day. some light exercise could also help. i definitely find when I'm run down I get more cramps and symptoms. Have you been in touch with your doctor?
If you're losing a lot of weight then I'd be inclined to go back to the doctor. As a severe IBS sufferer I can put a lot of my symptoms all down to that but I recently found I had another issue running along side it. Always best to keep on checking this out with our doctors.
