PSA and Testosterone update
My PSA increased after 6 weeks to 0.04 but my T dropped to 8.87 not sure how to think of this. I had no expectation, so it is what it is. Plan is my MO will give me a PSMA scan if a I get to 2.0 PSA. These numbers are so small that I know that they are meaningless at this point but I would still

Carboplatin and Caelyx chemo combination
Hello everyone. Just wondering if anyone has had the combination of carboplatin and Caelyx for recurrence? I had review following scan this week and was told some recurrence in lymph nodes, pelvis and axillary. This wasn't a complete surprise as since finishing my treatment in February and starting niraparib

I have metastatic Stage 4 prostate cancer, and also extremely high blood levels of the toxin PFAS. In fact, my town is a hotspot for PFAS and there is much evidence it causes cancer For years , the word was they are “forever” and you can’t get them out. However, a recent study showed that this

How does Lynparza work?
I am brca2+ and 3 months into Lynparza. Stopped Zytiga, continuing ADT. I generally tolerate meds ok, but am finding this one v toxic. As I understand it, the brca2 gene mutation is in all cells, not just cancerous ones. In this case, Lynparza could be preventing parp from getting to healthy cells

The steroid with zytiga can be a deal
My Dads new oncologist switched his steroid from prednisolone to dexamethasone - she was distressed at first appointment to see he was on zytiga and prednisolone. She said research pretty clear that dexamethasone is better. On today's PSA results she is clearly correct. We thought that he had become

which med for high blood pressure?
my husband has been on lupron and abiraterone for almost 3 years now. His blood pressure is consistently high at his monthly lupron shots and his MO suggested that he should start taking blood pressure meds to lower it. Is there a preferred blood pressure med for metastatic prostate cancer? Do any

looking for encouraging Pluvicto results
Hello fellow warriors, I know there have been posts of Pluvicto both helping and failing. I am now awaiting a PSMA PET scan to discuss possibly doing Pluvicto. I was diagnosed in 2018 at 46 years old with mets to about 5 spots in the bones. I have been on ADT since the beginning. I was on Zytiga then

1/2 way through Xofigo with Apaludamide increasingly ineffective. PSA is declining. MO tells me Xofigo not the cause.
Hello all. 18 months since diagnosed stage 4 metastatic PC. Mets almost everywhere. PSA was 512 at diagnosis. Apaludamide/Trelstar combo lowered PSA to 0.60. Began to climb again April this year and Xofigo was suggested. I've now completed 3 of 6 treatments. Told Xofigo isn't to reduce PSA by my MO

What’s Next?
My bio illustrates my long 19 year journey with this disease. I turned out to be a great candidate for Pluvicto. All was going well. After cycle 3, a PSMA-PET showed all but one metastases were receding or dead. My PSA before cycle 4 was 17.7. My PSA before cycle 5 was 33.15. Due to the fast increase

Xtandi / Lupron constipation
I am about 5 months into Xtandi and Lupron, and having increasingly difficult constipation. It started after the third month but is becoming more prevalent, now using laxatives. (Otc) Anyone have similar side effects? Any prescription meds helpful?

Melanoma
I got a double whammy diagnosis 10 days ago. My CLL was diagnosed when getting a mole removed which turns out to be a malignant melanoma. Am going in for some more surgery on my mole shortly and they will run tests on my lymph nodes at the same time. It appears that we are at greater risk of melanoma
