I got a double whammy diagnosis 10 days ago. My CLL was diagnosed when getting a mole removed which turns out to be a malignant melanoma. Am going in for some more surgery on my mole shortly and they will run tests on my lymph nodes at the same time. It appears that we are at greater risk of melanoma with CLL. Have many others in the community had ongoing issues with melanoma?

Something of a double whammy for you to be diagnosed with CLL and melanoma together but unfortunately we are at significantly greater risk of all skin cancers. I was dx with a melanoma soon after my CLL diagnosis but it was thankfully resolved at an early stage with wider excision and no need for a sentinel node biopsy.
Hope yours can be too and I’m sure you’ll now be very vigilant with your skin going forward.
Best wishes,
