relentless bowel movements
hello, I have posted on this platform before and I appreciate the feedback I have received. May IBS issues though persist. Today I have had close to 25 significant bowel movements not water but thick, heavy stools despite the fact that I consume little food throughout the day. And after 25 bowel

PSA back up after radiation
After 4 .5 weeks of radiation PSA dropped from 6.6 to 3.46 but on 6/3 went up to 5.88. I have MO appt 6/11 and he has previously indicated that docetaxel could be the next step. Following last PSA increase switched from Zytiga to Xtandi. I am guessing that a PET scan is in order and maybe SBRT prior

Provenge immunotherapy
After 5.5 years on Lupron (no Zytiga, Xtandi, Daro, etc.), my PSA hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate. I've been researching Provenge a bit, and understand that

Methionine restricted diet for recurring PSA and positive PMSA pet scan w/ 1 bone met
quick to the point. PSMA pet showed 1 L2 small met and some lymph activity. My PSA went from 2.01 to 2.9 in one month. after doing some research on diets and supplements . I found that the keto diet is extremely high in the amino acid methionine and I made it worse trying to reduce my blood pressure

PSA continues rise...PSMA remains good
To briefly review, now 69 years old, had RP at Hopkins in Feb 2018. Gleason 4+5. Margins clear. Organ-confined. PSA undetectable for two years...then an ill-advised and reckless PSA holiday for three years until Aug 2023 when PSA measured in the range of 7. First PSMA that same month entirely negative

Pluvicto
My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May He had his PSA taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. I’m hoping this isn’t an indicator that this will fail too. He has been dealing with prostate cancer for 20+ years -prostate removed - watching till number doubled - maybe 5 years

Trying to decide my next step in my journey and was wondering what advice regarding treatment doctors?
I have seen the urologist and did a biopsy and PET/CT scan. Now that I have all the results, the urologist wants me to start treatments with his urology partner in the office. When I inquired about going to an oncologist and/or radiologist, he said his partner could handle the treatments. I have prostate

PSA rockets up to 344
Hello - I received quite shocking news during my visit to the Mayo Clinic last week. My PSA has jumped to 344 from a low of 3.6 last November, when I completed chemo with cabazitaxel. PSA did start to rise quite soon, into double digits, but this is by far my highest PSA ever. Dr. Kwon recommended

What are the better treatments for metastasis of the bone and pelvic lymph nodes?
Just found out the past few weeks from a biopsy and a PET/CT scan that the cancer was not contained in the prostate but metastasized to the pelvic lymph nodes and the bones. Was a surprise to me and to the urologist as well. He is recommending no surgery but a multimodal therapy with androgen deprivation

Kishan's 6 month Androgen Annihilation Therapy Study for metastatic PCa
https://x.com/prostatecell/status/1770206641813696808?s=46 https://bit.ly/43rr68x seems to be a promising tactic for oligometastatic PCa, that combines SBRT with an ADT mix . The Abstract starts off by noting that with metastatic hormone sensitive PCa, recurrence almost always happens within six months

83 years old - Firmagon or Zoladex ? Conflicted which to choose.
Dad is 83 and has to start on ADT from Tomorrow. He has no known cardiac issues but we have a strong family history of cardiac disease. His dad and brother both passed from it He also gets ectopic beats/ pvc’s since many years but all cardiologists say those are benign and not to bother. His blood

Why would a doctor ask for an MRI both with and without contrast to see if I have just a fibroid or if there is an ovarian mass as well?
I had both a CT and ultrasound and they couldn't be 100% sure if I had a mass on my ovary or if it is a pedunculated fibroid. My doctor wrote to the OB/GYN and her response was this: [i]I would recommend a pelvic MRI with and without contrast. It tends to be much better at delineating pelvic structures

Bra after lung surgery?
What bras did you find most comfortable post surgery or maybe I should be asking, what bras did you find most tolerable? (Not initially after but a few weeks after surgery). Thanks in advance for your responses. I'm asking on behalf of someone else. Also, we are currently working to create a lung cancer

PSA Still Going Up
I had RP on January 2023, started ADT in May 2023 and went through 38 sessions of radiation. In November 2023, my PSA went down to 0.005 ng/mL. My PSA went up to 0.015 ng/mL in January 2024 and went up to 0.035 ng/mL in my current test. I know Tall Allen said the previous number was negligible because
