Question: Will adding Erleada , already taking these 2 drugs (not counting dexa) Abiraterone plus dexa and Quartely lupron injections increase overall survival? triplet, Right now treatment is Abi & Lupron. I'm high volume metastatic. Slowly rising PSA as of July 1.2. When PSA over 2 or fast doubling time,Chemo has been suggested. Would adding Erleada instead of doing the Chemo a possible or viable option? Thanks in advance

Abiraterone plus dexa, Lupron, Erleada
The 2021 ACIS study looked at Apalutamide (Erleada) + Abiraterone. The rPFS stands for radiographic progression free survival, and the mCRPC for metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer.
" ... the apalutamide plus abiraterone-prednisone combination consistently improved rPFS in chemotherapy-naive mCRPC patients versus abiraterone-prednisone while maintaining quality of life..." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
Thank you for the article, of which I had trouble understanding. I see that Erleada plus Abiraterone have a positive outcome for OS for castrate resistance. I see no mention of Lupron, in my case life long. Unclear to me, does one stop lupron and just use these two oral drugs? Does taking Lupron, Erleada & abiraterone have a negative or no effect? As TA suggested

I see your point, and now think the study does not apply to people already using ADT like Lupron.
I think the that adding Erleada plus Abiraterone plus Lupron does not prolong the time to mcrpc if still hormone sensitive, but may have radiologic progression benefit once already castrate resistant. That is my understanding anyway.
