RA and colitis anybody??
Long story short - I recently had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy done, awaiting biopsy results next week but the doctor reckons I might have a condition called
colitis
. A bit of research online indicates there's a bit of a connection between
colitis
and RA.....

Life – No Price Too High!
A recent visit to my pharmacy prompted me to think about why it was I was paying so much for the “magic bullet” that was going to rid me of the flu. How is the price of a drug determined? What is the reason for one drug being more expensive than the other, yet both, ultimately, performing the same role

Hi, I'm new to this so here goes. I have Extrinsic Allergic Alveolitis with no antigen. I've had it 10 years. Plus other complications.
I am presently on 30mgs of pred a day due to what they think is
colitis
. But! I am feeling very depressed and anxious I'm never like this normally and have accepted that poop happens. My sats are 90-95 on air. My diabetes reflects the facts that the steriods are up!

Has anyone developed a colitis post liver transplant?
What could cause a
colitis
post tx? Not sure what kind it is. Non-specific most likely, but possibly ulcerative
colitis
. Any advice?

Coeliac & colitis flare up - is it possible that getting glutened could trigger a flare up of colitis
I have recently been diagnosed with
colitis
having been diagnosed with coeliac the previous year. I am just coming off prednisolone down to 2 a day & am starting to worry that if I accidentally get 'glutened' it may trigger off a flare up.

If I move out if the area will I still get my Simponi?
Hi, I have been on Simponi for almost 4 months, so have had 3 injections up to now and seeing good results . I was told I was only eligible for Simponi because I lived in an area that had full NHS funding. I may have to move as my husband has left me, but am worried if I go somewhere else I might not

Beta 2 Microglobin - an exquisitely sensitive marker for disease activity in many hematologic disorders.
Increased serum beta2 microglobulin levels reflect increased activity of the disease process in question and can be an exquisitely sensitive marker for this purpose in many hematologic disorders. The reference range of beta2 microglobulin in urine samples is 0-0.3 µg/mL. In serum or plasma samples,

Can LFTS be normal in cirrhotic liver
I was diagnosed for
colitis
and food allergy. All the tests results were normal except for ANA. Further investigations were done to rule out autoimmune liver disease as I developed pain in liver area with prominent red blotches in palms. Fibroscan was done and the score was 12.6 kpa.
