Kissing ovaries and obstructed ureter
I'm new to this forum. I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis this January after years of horrendous periods, which I assumed were normal! I'm 28 years old, no children, and no desire to have children. I'm in a same sex relationship as well. I have 'kissing ovaries' which have massive cysts on them

Bowel blockage
After 12 hours of the most severe pain I have ever experienced, I finally went to A&E. Turns out my bowel was blocked. Lucky for me they have not done the surgery that they first thought they may have to do as my blockage seems to have passed. They are now trying to find out why. Could be adhesions or

Hello all! So my mom decided to get the masectomy instead of the partial one. I know this was a hard decision to take but due to her current dyalisis condition, we thought it was better for her to get rid of any chance. So my dad her and I discussed and we said it is better to get over the "what if"

Has anyone had a lobectomy?
How was it and how was the recovery? I'm new here and have a long-term undiagnosed lung abscess that hasn't responded to any treatments. It isn't cancerous (thank goodness!), but all the tests and procedures I have taken have come back negative. My consultant has advised me that, as there is little left

Stoma? I’d advise you to wear abdominal support garments from the get go.
Hi all, Back in June 2019 I came out of surgery with a stoma, which I was not expecting. I was very careful to listen to and take the advice about abdominal surgery; no heavy lifting or even lifting a kettle half full etc. About a month and a half ago I noticed my abdomen was sticking out more than

Venting (Sister's Health)
Hello, So I feel like my life keeps going downhill and my mental health is just horrible. My mom had her lobectomy, she was in ICU, I almost lost her to coughing blood because of this canceroid. It was such a hard month, and then after that the pet scan anxiety and tests were so difficult to bear. Now

Aborted robotic prostatectomy
Hi all, New to the site. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May, 2019, with Gleason scores 8 (1 core); 7 (3 cores); and 6 (8 cores). After reviewing options, decided on robotic prostatectomy. On Dec 13, 2019, the procedure was aborted because seminal vesicles were involved and looked undefined

Mammogram Call
Hello All, Hope you are having an amazing New Year! So scanxiety is really a thing, and wow it really sucks. My mom had her PET scan on December after her lobectomy on July, and everything was clear when it comes to her lungs and body. However, she got a mammogram recently too, which was not clear

Colostomy bag chances?
I have recently been diagnosed with advanced endometriosis. I need an MRI to see how deep the endometriosis has gone into my organs. Basically trying to prepare myself for more bad news. What are the chances of having to have a colostomy bag with advanced endometriosis? Does anyone know? Has anyone needed
