Dear Teal61

Welcome to the forum where you will find support and encouragement. Hope you have recovered well from your lobectomy.

"DIPNECH is diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia, it's a very rare condition where the neuroendocrine cells of the lung start to grow in an uncontrolled way."

This statement is taken from Cancer Research UK and this is the link:

cancerresearchuk.org/about-...

It is sometimes known as a pre cancer.

There is not a lot of literature on this apart from some medical journals, if you are interested this is one of them:

erj.ersjournals.com/content...

It may be helpful to discuss this with your lung cancer nurse specialist.

The British Lung Foundation have an online forum and you can find them in the drop down box of the title MY HUB (which is at the top of the page on our forum)

If you wish to discuss anything you can call us on our Freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 option 2.

Kind regards
