Kissing ovaries and obstructed ureter

I'm new to this forum. I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis this January after years of horrendous periods, which I assumed were normal! I'm 28 years old, no children, and no desire to have children. I'm in a same sex relationship as well.

I have 'kissing ovaries' which have massive cysts on them. The cysts are around 21cm in size altogether. Separately, they are 11 x 8cm and 10 x 5cm. So you can imagine how much pain I'm in. They've also attached to my rectum and my ureter on the left hand side is being crushed. I have my surgery March 12th.

My consultant said that I may need a colostomy bag after the operation, and he will have to put a stent in my ureter. However, this was before my renogram.

I had a renogram on Friday, which I could see the scans on the screen next to me. My right kidney was completely lit up, as was my bladder, but my left kidney was non-existent. I'm going to try and call the consultant today to see if he has the results, as he goes on holiday on Wednesday, but I just wondered if anyone else had a renal exam and how long they were waiting for the results?

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. 💜

How did your surgery go? Are you feeling better now?

Hello, I'm... okay. Surgery was brutal, 6 hours on the operating table. I have my follow up appointment with my surgeon in a couple of weeks. I had an MRI a couple of weeks ago as well, so will find out the results from that in the appointment.

How are you doing? Sorry for the delay in replying! x
